Edyta Herbuś is celebrating the return of swimsuit weather

Polish model and dancer Edyta Herbuś is celebrating the return of swimsuit weather. Herbuś, 42, shared a picture of herself posing on the beach next to a surfboard, wearing a blue and yellow bathing suit and a straw hat. "Long live MAY ???. With the wind, against the wind, with or without the sun, it's great! And how are you celebrating today?" she captioned the post.

Herbuś says she has a holistic approach to taking care of her health. Instead of just focusing on appearance, she works on her inner happiness too. "For me, keeping fit means taking care of health, positive thoughts, development and relationships with people," she says.

Herbuś says she burns thousands of calories on the dance floor, and finds it the perfect way to stay in shape. The Eurovision star is not a fan of restrictive fad diets. "I admit that I am not a fan of today's fashion for ubiquitous diets, constant control and focusing mainly on appearance," she says.

Herbuś is mindful about how much processed foods, sugar, and white flour she consumes, instead enjoying whole foods as much as possible. "Whole foods are higher in nutrients, such as fiber, minerals and vitamins than processed foods and when they make up the majority of a diet, may lower rates of heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes," says Rebecca Crumb-Johnson, MA, RD, CDCES. "Whole foods allow nutrients to act together like they were meant to."

Herbuś loves gardening and working on growing fresh vegetables. "Backyard gardening can inspire you to take an interest in the origins of your food and make better choices about what you put on your plate," says Dr. Helen Delichatsios, an internist at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital. "When you grow your own food, you savor it more because of the effort it took to get to the table."

Herbuś does an hour of yoga as a great way to warm up and start the day. "Including warm ups in yoga sessions before asana practice is important, because it helps to heat up the body from within, while it gradually increases blood and fluid circulation," says Dr. Paul Jerard, E-RYT 500. "A yoga warm up also helps to gently loosen muscles and joints, which eliminates stiffness."
