Ashley James posts stunning throwback bikini photos

Ashley James posted a stunning throwback bikini photo on Tuesday but revealed her sadness over the fact that she was 'really insecure' about her body at the time.

The presenter, 37, posted the snap from 2015 on her Instagram Story alongside a message to her 400,000 followers.

In the holiday photo the model looked nothing short of gorgeous in a tiny baby blue tie bikini, showing off her figure while stood with her back to the sea.

Ashley highlighted her toned midriff with a belly button piercing and her ample cleavage in the low cut bra while sweeping her hair off her face.

But in a message to her fans which she wrote alongside she said: 'Found this photo from 2015 and what makes me sad is that I was really insecure here - about my body about my face about my worth. I used to think I was never good enough and my love life was awful as a result.

'Wish I could go back and tell this girl she was perfect and whole and beautiful and most importantly just worthy and enough on her own.

'It's sad we're taught to hate ourselves but a reminder that it's never about us and how we look and everything to do with a society that tells is we're flawed and unworthy.'

The This Morning star has been sharing a series of empowering photos recently and last month shared a video of herself looking stunning in a red lingerie set.

She posed on a bed in her underwear and urged fans to love their bodies as she shared that she has come to embrace her belly rolls, comparing them to ancient statues of the Greek goddess Aphrodite.

In a post from early August, Ashley shared a series of photos she originally didn't want to share online because she wasn't happy with how she looked at the time.

Despite looking gorgeous and happy in the photos, Ashley revealed that she pulled them apart over disliking certain parts of her body in the snaps.

She candidly detailed how she took issue with her 'giant' boobs, side profile or 'how pale' she looked in the photos she posted to Instagram.

The TV star shared several snaps from holidays with her partner Tommy Andrews and their two children, Ada and Alfie.
