Miley Cyrus has made some changes to your diet because she felt she was running on empty

Miley Cyrus is taking time for herself. In a new social media post the singer indulges in self-care. "So close to heaven but so far from everyone," she wrote in the caption of the Instagram Post. "Grateful for this #Island & the abundant magic she shared with us."

Miley maintained an animal product free diet for many years. "I was vegan for a very long time and I've had to introduce fish and omegas into my life because my brain wasn't functioning properly," she said on The Joe Rogan Experience. "Now I'm so much sharper than I was and I think that I was, at one point, pretty malnutritioned," she said. "I remember going to Glastonbury [music festival] and that was a show that I loved—I loved my performance—but I was running on empty." She also added gluten back into her diet.

Miley does two hours of Ashtanga yoga daily, she told Billboard. In her latest social media post, she does yoga on a paddleboard. Why should you do yoga? "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," Harvard Health says. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

Miley recently told British Vogue that she adores fitness – everything from ViPR to TRX training to dance and partner work, and often has friends over to work out. "I only hang out with, like, gay men. So they come over, and we do a whole class based off of Nicki Minaj or we have a Britney series. I have a Madonna 'Vogue' series, which is doing the entire bow choreography with, like, our little weights."

Miley works with "amazing" healers, and recently "did a lot of EMDR," she told Vogue about the eye-movement, memory-linked trauma therapy she started a little over a year ago. "It's so helpful," she continued. "Essentially, you delete the physical sensations associated with these painful memories. The EMDR really helped me."

Miley is big on journaling "I make choices that I'm proud of that protect me… I put my mental and physical health before a paycheque… I freed up space for myself to be with friends and family doing what I love, which is working out, eating well, learning ways about how to enhance my life, staying dedicated to practices and protocols that are specifically designed for me," she wrote in an entry, reading it to Vogue.

"It's so important to keep up with a consistent skincare routine, and to be dedicated in order to get the results you want. Wearing a wig on set taught me to respect drag queens at a very young age! The art of creating a glamorous alter ego and looking at wigs costuming and make up as more than just self-decoration, but also armor."

Cyrus has learned how important downtime and self care are for both her health and her looks. "I basically have it down to a science these days," she says. "Taking care of yourself from the inside out is so important. Your beauty routine is a form of self-love because it means you're taking time out of your day to check in with yourself, mentally and physically… I struggled with acne, triggered by juggling school, work, filming, not to mention all the stage makeup, when I was younger. I finally realized that something that works for someone else might not work for me, so I saw a dermatologist and learned that there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution to skincare."

Cyrus keeps her style incredibly simple when she's not working. "On my days off I am usually in all black; there is something classic [about it] – you could find a girl from each generation I've admired wearing something similar," she says. "I like that it's mysterious and doesn't draw too much attention to me. Then, when I am on stage, I use color and fabric to enhance the emotion of the music."

“I’ve met some real true people that have helped me with my perspective on life. I’ve traveled to beautiful places and I’ve seen and experienced amazing cultures. Lea and Zandy’s wedding was magical! After an almost year-long engagement, the happy couple wed in a romantic ceremony in Northern California.

She shared photos for weeks leading up to the festivities, including from her bridal shower, bachelorette party, and plenty of shot of her 4-carat diamond engagement ring. The best part of the wedding was how radiant and blissful Lea looked.

Kathy Jacobs says Do everything or nothing to yourself to feel great about yourself and do not apologize for having or not having something done

The search is on for the next Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue models, and one in particular is using it as an opportunity to take on ageism in the modeling industry. Kathy Jacobs is a 55-year-old model who has been working as a model for around three decades. In addition to her recent work posing for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Jacobs has worked with brands such as Thirdlove, Beauty Blender, Soiji, and also appeared in a Miley Cyrus music video.

"I was a petite model in the 80s for FORD Models–I was fighting for inclusiveness in the modeling industry over 30 years ago," she told Sports Illustrated in an interview. "I recently contacted my old agent, who is now with Icon Focus (models over 40), and she said clients only want tall models. So the modeling industry is now becoming more inclusive for older models...but only if they are tall."

As for why she wanted to be part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model search, Jacobs said, “ I am going to use my powers for good. I do not take the responsibility of this position lightly. I genuinely appreciate the platform, power, and presence that I have been given by SI! I am doing this to be part of a change in the views on women over 50, not only by society, but by ourselves."

"It is a boomerang effect, and we as women over 50 need to stand together and realize how amazing, relevant, beautiful and sexy we all are," she added. "It's time women of all ages unite and claim our power! Ageism impacts all of us, and women of all ages coming together and stopping it now helps prevent future generations from ever experiencing it!”

She later commented on the idea that her being a 55-year-old swimsuit model is considered unusual by saying, "It's kinda funny to me that doing what I am doing at 55 is so out of the norm. I feel so young inside and I bet a lot of women can relate to me on that level. Now I am just hoping to be the oldest member of the Final 6 in SI Swim Search history."

Fans were shocked to learn Miley and Liam had officially separated over the weekend the couple released a joint statement that confirmed they had agreed to part ways, but will continue to take joint responsibility for the pets they share. Pictures also emerged of Miley and Kaitlynn kissing and cuddling by the pool during their holiday.

On Sunday, the Wrecking Ball singer posted yet more ab-bearing photos, this time wearing head-to-toe athleisure from Nike and Adidas. Seemingly explaining recent events, she wrote: "My dad always told me 'Nature never hurries but it is always on time'... it fills my heart with peace and hope knowing that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own."
