Mihaela Cambei is heating things up in her swimsuit. The weightlifter wears a hot pink swimsuit as she gets into a jacuzzi in one of her latest social media posts.
Mihaela spends a lot of time at the gym. In addition to weight lifting, she does a lot of resistance training, using gym equipment. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Mihaela loves hiking. "Well-being and mental load transmitted from nature," she captioned a recent post. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.
Soaking in baths and hot tubs are a big part of Mihaela's routine. "An extremely relaxing recovery for my muscles," she captioned a post. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
Mihaela also hydrates. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.
Mihaela drinks a lot of coffee. "Good Morning," she captioned a post of herself sipping on a cup. Science continues to prove that drinking coffee is great for your health. In fact, a new 2022 study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that drinking two to three cups a day of most types of coffee – especially a mild to moderate intake of ground, instant, and decaffeinated coffee – may protect you from cardiovascular disease and an early death. Researchers found "significant reductions" in the risk for coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure and stroke for all three types of coffee. But, only ground and instant coffee with caffeine decreased risk for arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat.
