Thylane Blondeau is heating up Israel in her swimsuit. The model, once dubbed The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, shows off her incredible body in a bathing suit in one of her latest social media posts, photos taken during a recent trip. In one of the Instagram snaps she sits on the beach in a swimsuit top. One of her followers commented "The hottest tourist in Israel.
One of Thylane's health and beauty secrets? Getting enough rest. When asked by W Magazine her secret to flawless skin she responded: "A lot of sleep." How much sleep should you aim for? While it depends on your age, the CDC recommends anywhere from seven to nine hours per night. "Although the amount of sleep you get each day is important, other aspects of your sleep also contribute to your health and well-being. Good sleep quality is also essential," they add. "Signs of poor sleep quality include not feeling rested even after getting enough sleep, repeatedly waking up during the night, and experiencing symptoms of sleep disorders (such as snoring or gasping for air)."
Thylane's go-to coffee order? "Latte with ice cubes please," she captioned this image of her pick-me-up. Drinking moderate amounts of coffee has been linked to lower risk of cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes and Parkinson's disease, says the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Thylane spends a lot of time outdoors and loves swimming, in both pools and the ocean. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
"The best health advice I've received is …Take care of myself in doing sports. I'm boxing and running four times per week," Thylane told Russh. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say. Boxing is also a great workout "because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs."
Thylane also maintains that hydration is a key part of her approach to health. "Drink a lot of water," she told Russh. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.
