Last night, Samantha competed at the Miss Grand International 2021's preliminary competition, where she flaunted her sheer cape evening gown inspired by the Philippine seafaring vessel "balangay."
She also showcased her "Paruparo" national costume inspired by the festival held annually in Dasmariñas which landed her in the Top 20 Best in National Costume round.
Samantha Panlilio was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas Grand International last July. She is currently in Thailand to compete for the Miss Grand International title and represent the country during the coronation night on Saturday, December 4.
Should Samantha win, she will be the first-ever Filipina to take home the crown.

The two-piece is almost identical to one that she wore in 2018 before her op, with the photos highlighting the extent of her impressive weight loss journey.
Speaking about the tough decision to undergo surgery earlier this year, Chanelle said it has been "the best thing ever."

She candidly revealed that whilst they're insecure, she's learned to embrace them as it's part of her fitness journey.
