Amy jackson enjoys a summer vacation

British-Bollywood actress Amy Jackson is taking some time off from her busy schedule as a working mom to enjoy a summer vacation with her family. Jackson, 31, shared some highlights from her luxurious trip, including stunning pictures of herself posing on a boat in a black bikini, against a background of sparkling water and blue skies. "Summer Lovin'," she captioned the post.

Jackson starts her day with green juice and an energizing workout. "I love a juice in the morning, usually a full green juice which cleanses my system," she says. "I also rely on my regular spirulina shot. You know, I was with my mom last week. I went to the gym, and when I came back, she said, 'You are glowing'! After a good workout, your blood circulation is better. It helps get rid of all the toxins and you have a healthy glow. I really think working out plays an important part in skincare."

Jackson cut out dairy from her diet for the sake of her skin. "Usually my days are really hectic, so I don't have too much time to spend on skincare," she says. "But I have to give a minimum of 5 minutes a day, morning and night. I do the basic–my Pond's face wash for cleansing followed by a moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated. There was a time when I used to love dairy products. Ice cream and pastas with creamy sauce! But, dairy really affected my skin and tummy. I actually became lactose intolerant overnight. That's the reason I stopped dairy completely. I noticed that my skin started to clear up a lot. Also, pollution! It damages the skin just as much as the sun does."

Jackson learned to dance for her Bollywood roles. "Dancing was never my strong suit," she says. "And I think that was probably the aspect of the industry that I found the most difficult. When I was living in Mumbai, I'd be doing my dialogue classes in the morning and all afternoon I'd spend learning the different dance forms, it took a lot of effort for sure."

Jackson says her advice for anyone younger is to stay hydrated. "Drink. More. Water! Stay hydrated," she says. "You know, I never used to drink water consciously until a couple of years ago. I used to only have fizzy drinks, coffee etc. I was obsessed with Red Bull when I was shooting for something. But I've realized the importance of staying hydrated at all times! It's extremely necessary."

Jackson has a healthy attitude to wellness and beauty. "They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I kind of don't believe that," she says. "I feel like beauty comes from even before seeing anyone, you feel it. For me, I consider somebody beautiful when I have a real impact of their energy. I can feel it before I see it and that's a feeling and that's a way that it translates into me. So that's how I see and feel and appreciate beauty."

"When there is no gym available, like when I was shooting for Heropanti in Patiala, I used to go for running and used a yoga mat in my room to do mat exercises."

You can also find Kriti dancing up a storm. "I also love dancing and add it to my workouts 2-3 times a week. Dancing is a great form of workout because you use your whole body, it's not monotonous at all. I've learnt kathak as a child but I'm not so much into classical dancing. I like mixing forms—sometimes jazz, sometimes Bollywood and contemporary," she revealed in a 2018 interview. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Kriti avoids large meals and instead eats smaller, more regular meals. "It's important to watch what you eat, when you eat, and the gap between your meals. Have smaller portions every two hours," she shared in an interview. "I sometimes like having dates too, it gives you instant energy," she added.

Mental health is important, per Kriti. "Take care of your body and it will take care of you," she shared on World Health Day on Instagram, along with a photo of herself meditating. "Get out of your lazy beds and do some exercise- walk around, yoga, mat workout, dance (my fav), cardio, anything.. just wake up every inch of your body, and you'll have a great day."

"My mother has always been careful about what we ate, so when I was trying to drop kilos, she got even more innovative! We made a meal plan, of course mom worked harder on it. I love good food and was happiest when I was gaining weight."

Pednekar tells India Today that she eats healthy. She says that she made a lot of changes to her diet. "Eating to lose weight has helped me find joy in every morsel, to enjoy and appreciate the diversity on my platter, to sub refined and processed foods with whole grains and greens. This experience has changed the kitchen rules, and the way we cook."

Pednekar likes to share workout videos on Instagram. She revealed in the caption of this post that this helps motivate her. "It's all about loving yourself. I share my workout videos cause it motivates me to work harder. With 4 films coming out this year, I've tried to transform myself with every character and it took a bloody toll on me. Planks: Planks are a simple but effective exercise that can help to strengthen your entire core. Hold this position for 30 seconds to one minute, keeping your body straight and your core muscles engaged.

Sit-ups: Sit-ups are a classic exercise that targets the muscles of the abdominal region. To perform a sit-up, lie on your back with your knees bent and your hands behind your head. Lift your upper body off the ground and touch your knees with your elbows, then slowly lower yourself back down.

Russian twists: Russian twists are a great exercise for the oblique muscles, which are the muscles on the sides of your abdomen. Mrunal Thakur revealed that there was one time she hesitated to post a bikini picture of herself on Instagram.

Mrunal Thakur recently opened up about how she had to ‘gather courage’ to post a bikini picture on social media. Now, talking about the same, the Jersey actress has mentioned that people in India should understand that wearing a bikini or not is a matter of personal choice. She further added that one should have the liberty to wear whatever he/she wants.

“I just wish we all understood personal choice. Everybody in India should understand another person’s personal choice and respect. We should have the freedom, the liberty to wear whatever we wish to without worrying about what other people with think or say. It all boils down to personal choice at the end end of the day, just being happy with what you wear and in your skin, and the quicker everybody understands that, the better for all of us," Mrunal Thakur told BollywoodLife.com.

Just a day before, Mrunal revealed that there was one time she hesitated to post a bikini picture of herself on Instagram. “I feel India has not entirely normalised (different types of) bodies. We still think if you are going to a beach you have to have a perfect body. But, that’s not how I want to inspire girls out there," she told Hindustan Times.

“It’s okay to be bloated and to have celluloid. You need to be fit (from) within and not necessarily have six-pack abs. I need to gather courage to post a picture in the bikini, with the body type I have at the time and I am comfortable with it. I am just gearing up," she had added.

On the work front, Mrunal Thakur is gearing up for the release of Jersey which also stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead. The film will hit theatres on April 14. This means that Jersey will clash at the box office along with Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s KGF Chapter 2.
