Josie Canseco is heating things up this autumn

Josie Canseco is heating things up this autumn – and doing it in style. In a recent social media post, the model and influencer showed off her toned abs in a two-piece Alo exercise set, captioning the photos, "hot girl fall or something @alo." But her fitness journey is about more than just looking good. "I grew up playing sports and being very active," Josie told Us Weekly, adding, "It's kind of a routine thing that just helps me feel better about myself, about my life, and my confidence." From boxing to spin classes, Josie embraces a variety of workouts, while balancing it all with a pescatarian diet and a healthy dose of self-care. Here's how she keeps it all in check.

Josie understands the mental health benefits of exercise. "I grew up playing sports and being very active," Josie told Us. "So for me, it's kind of a routine thing that just helps me feel better about myself, about my life and my confidence. And I feel like that shines through when you feel good about what you've done."

Josie also takes "Rumble classes" and boxes. "Boxing training one-on-one, like really focused and in my zone," she added to Us. According to Harvard Health, boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.

When Josie is on vacation, you can find her staying active by snorkeling. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Josie takes spin classes. "I love cycling, I do it all the time. It's a good cardio mix. I'm all about cardio and high intensity music," Canseco told Us Weekly. She cycled "maybe like two or three times a week" to prep for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Josie feels her best "when I've really been on a good routine of eating right and eating a lot of vegetables and good proteins and balancing my diet — and it's not all about going full-in and being, like, cold-turkey, cutting things out and being like a health freak. It's all about balance for me," she told Us. "I've been slowly transitioning to be pescatarian. "I just kind of have a soft spot for animals and down the line, I'd like to work with them and have my own nonprofit one day. So not eating red meats and chicken obviously, and slowly transitioning into [not eating fish]," she continued. "It's just balance. It's OK to have pizza and stuff like that, but [weight loss] should be hard work, it shouldn't be easy."

Josie Canseco is heating up the gym in her Alo workout attire. In a new social media post the model shows off her incredibly fit figure in a two-piece outfit from the yoga brand while working out at their gym.

"OMG I listen to literally everything. So if I'm working out it's a mix of, like, Eminem is definitely my pump-up song," said the Playboy model. "He's the best, he's one of my favorite rappers ever. And 50 Cent — like, definitely more hardcore things that get me into that kind of, like, ego-driven mind space, you know what I mean? Like, 'Go hard, I can do this, I'm the best, I can do this,' blah blah blah."

Josie Canseco shared a new set of photos of herself posing on the beach

Josie Canseco is a successful model, influencer, and TV personality. She shares a lot of stunning photos on her Instagram. Canseco shared a new set of photos of herself walking by the beach this week. In it, she posed in a black bathing suit top and pants. She captioned the post, "Swear I was happy."

Canseco opened up about her career to FashionWeekOnline. She says that having famous parents has taught her many things about the industry. "Being raised in the industry has definitely taught me a lot about my communications skills and work ethic," Canseco says. "Having parents like them to look up to has done nothing but inspire me to be the best I can be, and to also be kind and patient with my success. Whether it's learning from their accomplishments, or failures, I am grateful to have been raised with them as my family."

Canseco tells FashionWeekOnline that she makes sure to stay professional, even when she doesn't always feel great. "Sometimes you just are not in a good mood, and that's okay, but it is extremely important to keep it as professional as possible when you are in your work environment," Canseco explains. "I am no angel; I have definitely had my bad days, but I am so incredibly blessed to do what I do, and whenever I feel a bit frustrated or impatient, I remind myself of the opportunity I have in front of me, and it helps to refresh my perspective."

Canseco tells FashionWeekOnline that she makes sure to have supportive people in her life. In particular, she values her friendships. "I have definitely seen a few friendships fizzle out because of lack of upkeep, but I do my best to keep my original core group of friends close at all times. I hang around the people I've been around since I was 14, and our friendship is so strong that no matter how long we are apart for, whenever we're reunited, it is like we never separated. Those are the kinds of friendships I appreciate most in my life."

Canseco is an extremely motivated person. She tells FashionWeekOnline that her main motivation is wanting to be independent. "It is extremely important to me that I am able to support myself and have control over my own life. I never want to depend on anyone else for what I need, and that keeps me hungry for work. I also have dreams and goals that I am so passionate about, and if I want to reach them, I need to stay focused and motivated."

Canseco is an avid equestrian. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself riding. She also posted a set of videos of herself riding, captioning it, "Therapy." The American Heart Association states that riding has a lot of benefits. "Sitting tall, pushing your legs into the body of your horse ignites the core muscles, which are imperative for balance and posture…In a Texas A&M University study, researchers focused on the amount of energy expended during high-intensity horseback riding. But you need not be roping cattle to burn calories. 'Riding a horse for 45 minutes at a walk, trot and canter can burn up to 200 calories," said Dr. Dennis Sigler, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service horse specialist and professor in the department of animal science at Texas A&M University in College Station. "If you do something a bit more strenuous such as cutting or reining, that can come out to nearly seven calories per minute for the entire length of the riding period.' Plus, lifting a saddle onto and off the horse's back, carrying buckets of hay and water to its stall, grooming — all these burn plenty of calories."

'It’s all about balance' the secret of Victoria’s Secret model Josie Canseco 

Victoria’s Secret and swimsuit model Josie Canseco has shared the diet and workout routine she uses to keep her enviable figure – though be warned, she makes sure it’s not “easy.”

Canseco, daughter of former MLB star Jose Canseco and Brody Jenner’s current girlfriend, revealed that fitness for her is all about “balance” and music.

“I love cycling, I do it all the time,” the 22-year-old told Us Weekly, adding that she also runs and takes boxing classes.

“I’m all about cardio and high-intensity music ... Anything with music, really,” she added, crediting rap and “hardcore” music that pumps her up. “Music is really, like, my therapy. So anything that’s pretty much music-involved gets your head in the game.”

But more than just chasing a cardio-high, the Playboy model says fitness is about finding a routine to stick to.

“I grew up playing sports and being very active,” she told Us. “So for me, it’s kind of a routine thing that just helps me feel better about myself, about my life and my confidence. And I feel like that shines through when you feel good about what you’ve done.”
