Katie McGlynn wows in a bikini

Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn, who played the role of Sinead Tinker, has stripped down to her bikini to show off her sensational figure. The soap star, 31, oozed confidence as she posed on the beach while vowing herself not to spend 'anymore time worrying' on what she looks like.

The actress, who is also known for her role as Becky Quentin in Hollyoaks and a Strictly Come Dancing contestant in 2021, took to Instagram on Tuesday, 17 September to share a series of stunning snaps from her getaway to Athens, Greece. During golden hour on the beach, Katie donned a pink bikini as she confidently posed and smiled at the camera.

Reflecting on her body confidence journey, she wrote the caption: "After wasting so much of my 20s fixating on my body, weight and what people thought of the way I looked, I can finally say I’ve fully embraced every part of me and won’t be wasting anymore time worrying, because none of it actually matters and for once I feel confident and free.

"It took me a long time, but it genuinely really doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks as long as YOU’RE happy…"

Fans raced to the comments to compliment the star on her newfound confidence as one wrote: "Absolutely agree, and you look absolutely sensational." A second penned: "Defo true Katie,you look beautiful I was similar maybe late teens/early twenties, but now don't bother life is far too short to be worrying."

"You have a fantastic figure Katie and a lovely person," a third gushed. A fourth commented: "Omg how good do u look wow seriously u look amazing incredible from head to toe x."

Another wrote: "Perfectly said! You are such a beautiful woman." One more added: "wow you look absolutely gorgeous and look absolutely stunning you are well beautiful and hope you're having a really nice Tuesday and love your bikini."

Katie is in a relationship with TOWIE star Ricky Rayment and their romance seems to be going stronger than ever, as the loved-up pair celebrated his 34th birthday earlier this month. The TV star couple shared plenty of photos from their romantic spa retreat in the Lake District, as they cosied up to each other in a hot tub.

Katie McGlynn is best known for her time on the hit series, Coronation Street. She's currently having a spa day, and is sharing highlights on her Instagram. One thing she is doing is going to the sauna. McGlynn posted a new photo of herself outside the sauna in a green leopard print bathing suit. She captioned the post, "Blissful spa day."

McGlynn opened up to Revive Magazine about what it was like to leave Coronation Street, and how she handles her feelings. "At the time of filming, I didn't feel affected. The days were so hectic, and there wasn't enough time to think about it. When I did feel sad, I just thought about why we were doing it and the people we were doing it for. During upsetting scenes, we'd try to have a laugh and cheer each other up in between filming. We're all a big family at Corrie. It wasn't until I left the show, I realised the storyline had affected me emotionally. At this point, you've got to talk about it and process it in your mind – that's when it hit me personally."

McGlynn wants to raise awareness about things. She tells Revive that she pushed for her character on Coronation Street to have terminal cancer, to give people more information about it. "At first, it was unclear whether the cancer would be terminal or if Sinead would survive, but I wanted it to be terminal to raise awareness. While a lot of people do survive, a lot don't, and often on TV shows you don't see the true reality. With a platform like Coronation Street, it was an excellent opportunity to showcase the truth. We were in a great position to make a difference."

In 2019, McGlynn decided to get healthier. She opened up about her journey on Instagram. One thing she did was work with a trainer, and shared what her weekly sessions were like in different posts. In McGlynn's first post, she wrote, "First week of my Body Transformation at @up_north_pt. After a busy year of filming, my fitness has really taken a backseat and I don't feel 100% myself so I've decided it's time to hit the reset button. Over the next few months I'm challenging both my mind and body – solely focusing on my training and nutrition. I've trained at U.P. for years and completely fell in love with it, so I'm really excited to get stuck in again… but now under the watchful eye of @oliviadevall. I have definitely felt it this week. It's been really tough and I've noticed I'm not as strong as usual, but I am SO ready for this…bring it on!"

To get in shape, McGlynn went on a diet plan. She talked about it in an interview with Express. "It was simple to follow the diet," she says. "There were no shakes, or packets of this or that. Just good fats, like salmon, eggs and nut butter. I don't eat red meat, and I've been having oats at night because they help me sleep."

McGlynn is committed to staying healthy. She tells Express that she plans on sticking with her new lifestyle, even after the plan ends. "After my programme is finished, I won't stop. I'm going to carry on with it, because I have a taste for fitness now." McGlynn opened up about why she wants to keep this up. "I'm more confident than I've ever been, and I have more energy."

Katie McGlynn told she was "missing the Dubai climate"

The former Coronation Street star, 28, stripped down to a tiny white string bikini which showed off her sizzling figure and killer curves in the sun.

The smiling soap star was caught posing up a storm with a cold, refreshing beverage on a past trip to sunny Dubai.

Katie McGlynn looked as confident as ever in the teeny bikini, which gave way to her terrifically-toned physique and endless legs that were kitted out with flip-flops.

The glowing star was also able to showcase her enviable tan as she stood outside her hotel at the lush holiday resort.

The actress is accessorized with a pair of stylish shades to shield her eyes from the sun, as well as a chic sunhat.

Katie recently opened up about her future career plans after leaving Channel 4's hit soap Hollyoaks - having only joined the cast 9 months before.

Katie McGlynn was asked about a future work project, to which she replied: "I have some potentially exciting projects coming up. Nothing set in stone as of yet but I'll keep you updated."

The actress made her exit in February after less than a year of playing Becky Quentin. "Becky Quentin, over and out. It’s been an absolute pleasure playing Becky and getting my teeth into something so different and gritty!"
