Rachel Zegler is starting 2025 on a high note. The award-winning actress, best known for her breakout role as Maria in West Side Story and recent appearances in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, shared a stunning beach post on Instagram. Captioned “Moments of joy and dreams coming true. Happy new year, all. Be good to each other,” the post showcases her radiant energy and healthy lifestyle. Curious how she stays in shape and keeps her glow? From skincare secrets to Pilates and yoga routines, Rachel prioritizes wellness in every aspect of her life. Here’s a closer look at how she keeps grounded and fit while juggling her incredible career.
Zegler shared some of her skincare secrets in an interview with InStyle. “After I cleanse to take off my makeup, I use my Dior Prestige serum,” she says. “Then, I use a vitamin C serum, which is very important for me to keep everything in check. I use a hyaluronic acid, moisturizer, and the Dior under-eye cream as well.”
Zegler also tells InStyle that she likes to keep her skincare routine simple. “I try not to do too much. I remember when I was working on Snow White, I was on FaceTime with my co-star, Andrew Burnap, whose mom is a dermatologist, and he was like, ‘If you want my opinion, as my mom would say, 'You're doing too much,'’ So, then, I made it smaller. Honestly, it works really well for me. Even when I'm around the time of the month when our skin decides to hate us, it still sees me through, which is nice.”
Zegler shared some of her workout secrets in her InStyle interview. She says that she makes sure to stretch each morning. “I do a stretching routine every morning just to keep myself open, and that makes me feel really grounded. It also helps as a singer because when you're warming up the body, you're warming up your voice as well.”
Zegler revealed to InStyle that she likes to do Pilates to keep herself in shape. “I do Pilates, and I also do a bedtime yoga routine at the end of the day. I just love doing that; it's the best part of my day, and it really helps me sleep so much better.” The Cleveland Clinic states that Pilates has a lot of health benefits. “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”
As you can see from the previous blurb, Zegler also does yoga to help herself stay fit. According to Harvard Health, yoga has a lot of benefits. “Surveys have found that those who practiced yoga were more aware of their bodies than people who didn't practice yoga. They were also more satisfied with and less critical of their bodies. For these reasons, yoga has become an integral part in the treatment of eating disorders and programs that promote positive body image and self-esteem.”

In a new social media post the 13 Reasons Why and The Buccaneers star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while on a swan pool floatie in the pool. One of her followers commented that the Norwegian actress is "in her active ear," while others were captivated by her appearance. "ur so beautiful," commented Rachel Zegler.
Alisha discussed her approach to self-care with Yahoo Life's The Unwind. "It's a lifelong journey. I remind myself to write down positive affirmations and to care for others — which is a huge practice for me. When I take care of the people I love, I feel loved back… [I also] reach out to my support system when I'm feeling down," she said. I love to start and end my day with journaling — just getting all my thoughts out on paper makes my day feel more organized and streamlined," she said.
"I love doing yoga," Alisha told The Unwind. "I got inspired through yoga teachers during quarantine. I got into practicing yoga. The classes stress peace of mind, wellness and meditation through movement — and make me really aware of how to take care of my well-being in a holistic way. Yoga is great for simply remembering how to breathe! Which is SO hard, by the way! When you actually sit down and take a second to do breathing exercises, it affects your whole body. I've found it so amazing but difficult, too. It's the best tool for anxiety or panic attacks… you can do breathing exercises from anywhere and it really grounds you."
Alisha also loves "going for walks in nature, with friends or in solitude," she told The Unwind. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
"I love reading novels; I'm somewhat of an escapist. I've been reading the latest Sally Rooney book. I loooooove Sally Rooney and all of her stories! She captures the millennial and Gen Z generations really well," Alisha revealed to Yahoo. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
Alisha also hikes, sharing a lot of photos to social media. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
Building stronger muscles and bones
Improving your sense of balance
Improving your heart health
Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

"All i do is try try try," she captioned the series of snaps. "Um. Just. Swoon," commented Vanessa Hudgens. "Beauty!!" added another follower.
Rachel loves coffee – but not before a performance. "I cut a lot of caffeine out because caffeine can dry up your vocal chords," she told Vogue about preparing for West Side Story. "Ever since I wrapped up West Side Story, I am very happy to incorporate my cup of coffee in the morning now, so that's been a godsend," she told Vogue.
"When I was making West Side Story, I felt a lot of pressure to constantly be on my game. That mostly manifested vocally. And when you're very stressed out, it can affect your vocal chords. But I cut dairy out of my diet," Rachel added to Vogue.
"It's hard," she says of online criticism, "but at the end of the day, you have to remember that, at least in my case, I'm the one with the confidence to go out there, and show my face, and be myself, and I'm getting paid. I'm working, doing what I love…and it's all I've ever wanted in my entire life. I'm really excited to share myself in that way, and let them all talk, you know? Let them all talk. I lead with love, and that's all I can really tell the world," Rachel explained to Elle. "Every day, I watch as we distance ourselves further and further from love and understanding," she says. "Everybody learns just how fast these people who claim to love you can turn on you in an instant. We put so many eggs in the basket of parasocial relationships and these expectations that are impossible for these normal human beings to meet, and then we feign disappointment when they don't meet them. Everyone is learning every day, and I've constantly found myself being rightfully called out for things, and absolutely, there are necessary moments of learning, and adapting, and understanding—that's how we grow as human beings, and I'm really proud of those things. There's also just a lot of unnecessary things. Comments that people make about people's relationships, their appearance, and the way that they decide to live their lives, even though it's quite literally nobody else's business but their own. You just sit back and think to yourself, 'Do I need this?' "
During the pandemic Rachel had a breast cancer scare, sharing a photo of the outpatient biopsy procedure that she went through during the pandemic. She called the experience the "undoubtedly the scariest week of my life." In a now-deleted post on social media she wrote: "Two years ago I found a lump in my breast," explaining that "No OB/GYN was taking new patients due to the backlog of the pandemic, but I was fortunate to have the care of my pediatrician who prescribed me an ultrasound, which led to an out-patient biopsy procedure," she continued. "Thankfully it was benign."And now the scar serves as a reminder to check my breasts regularly for any irregular growth – the fibroadenoma in my left breast is a common occurrence but nevertheless extremely scary to find. Early detection saves lives!!! Check your titty meat :)."
Rachel is also open about mental health struggles. "Hello. My name is Rachel. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and occasionally feel depersonalized/disassociated from reality. I am a work in progress. I am finding the common ground between me and my mind. And that's enough. But please, ask if I'm okay. #EndTheStigma," she wrote on X.

Elgort, 27, and his high school sweetheart were spotted hitting up a beach while vacationing in Hawaii this week. The two sported big smiles as they splashed around in the ocean.
In the photos, the two put their fit figures on full display. Elgort is wearing printed swimsuit trunks while Komyshan dons a black bikini.
Komyshan, a trained dancer and ballerina, also appeared to get active out of the water. A photo appears to show the dancer doing a side plank on a beach towel as Elgort stands in front of her holding some paperwork.
Elgort and Komyshan first met at LaGuardia High School in New York City and have been dating ever since.
Last month, Komyshan joined Elgort at the New York City premiere of the "West Side Story" remake at the Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center. The 27-year-old actor plays the lead role of Tony. Rachel Zegler also stars in the film as Maria.
