Kate Hudson shine bright with a good friend

Hudson, who just turned 42, caught some rays recently, posting a photo of herself and stylist/friend Sophie Lopez sunbathing. "Got the band back together for a day of fun in the sun”.

Both of the women looked beautiful as they wore contrasting bikinis, Kate going for a lighter yellow one, while Sophie opted for a darker shade of brown.

The pair made sure to keep safe in the beautiful sunshine, as on a table in between them was a bottle of sunscreen. They were both also also wearing pairs of sunglasses to protect their eyes from the rays.

The color of this bikini is not random. "I've always loved yellow because it's such a happy color," Hudson told. "In color therapy, it's our power center — the color of the sun, and the sun is what makes everything grow. I'm attracted to that energy, so I love to wear jewelry that has suns on it too." It's become something she's known for.

"Literally a girl, about 18 years old, recently came up to me and said, 'I just wore the yellow How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days dress to my prom.' And I was like, 'What? Still?’”, "I've worn yellow on the red carpet a few times”.
