Camila Mendes is giving her followers a glimpse into her Rise Movement workout routine – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Riverdale star flaunts her flat abs in an exercise set during an intense session at the gym. "My MOTU training journey begins ? @risemovement," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps and videos.
Camila maintains that "creating a routine in the morning" is key for her mental health. "My current routine is very soothing in the morning, and it gets me excited to start my day. Once I've done that routine, I feel like I can do anything. Usually, I wake up, I make my coffee, I write in my five-minute journal," she tells SELF.
Camila also gets her zen on. "I've been trying to meditate whenever I feel like I need it," she told SELF. Whenever I feel like my heart rate's kind of high, and I'm a little anxious and on edge and unable to focus, I try to set out 10 minutes to meditate in that moment and reset and ground myself again. I use an app, Balance. I think that's really what it is—just learning the tools that you need and moments when you need them.
"My relationship with food was very weird for a while—I had an eating disorder," she told Health. "I got through it by seeing [my] therapist and working with a nutritionist who was very adamant about me overcoming my fear of carbs. I used to not eat carbs—but that would just lead me to binge on them after avoiding them for a while. I tried all the diets—I was always on a diet. But I eventually learned they weren't helping me at all."
Camila nourishes her body with food. "As soon as I started listening to my body and eating what my body needed—which sometimes is eating the things I used to think were bad, like sugar and bread—I noticed a big change," she dished to Health. "The crazy lesson was that your body tells you what it wants and needs; you just have to learn how to listen to it. It takes a while to learn that—it's hard. And what one woman needs isn't going to be the same as what another woman needs. We're all different."
"I strive to be super consistent — as consistent as I can be. Whenever I have a day off, I will make a point to work out in the morning," she added to Shape. Even when she can't get a full workout in, she makes sure to stay active, "I definitely move my body every day," she added Health. "I go through phases when it comes to what I like to do—I've taken lots of different classes and all that," she said. She also works with a trainer and during their workouts "does a lot of circuit training, she added to Shape. She also plays tennis.

"One time I met a fan on an airplane," she told InStyle. "I think we were both coming back from Brasília, which is where my parents are from in Brazil. She and I were both headed back to LA and she came up to me when I was in line to get on the flight and then we found out that we were sitting next to each other and we ended up talking for the entire, I dunno, eight hour flight. I can't remember how long it was, but she and I talked about how we both had body image issues and how she also struggled with an eating disorder and how I helped her accept herself and she expressed her appreciation for the things I've spoken about and shared her story and it was really emotional and she's still a friend that I keep in touch with sometimes."
Mendes uses Loop skin masks. "I use them all the time. For me, I am somebody who's always struggled to find masks that fit on my face with loops. It actually just sticks on your face so well, and you can do laundry and talk on the phone and I don't know, you can do cartwheels if you want. You can literally do anything while wearing a Loops mask. And on top of that, it's really good skincare and the way that we weave it into a sort of daily skincare routine just makes it really convenient to use and very effective," she told InStyle.
In Hollywood, she has learned "that nobody's going to look after you except yourself and you got to look out for yourself. You got to stand up for yourself and if you have a problem, speak up. Just do it respectfully and with grace. That's it," she told InStyle.
For her Riverdale audition, "I was the very last person they were seeing and I managed to squeeze in an audition and I got there 30 minutes late. My hair was frizzy. It was raining that day. I remember the casting director telling me, she's like, 'You're a little matte right now. At CW, we're glossy.' It's glossy lips. Cheeks are glowing. She's like, so come back a few days from now. Then they brought me back for a producer audition," she told Stephen Colbert. Her friend did her makeup to make her look "glowy, like she just came out of the womb."

In one of her latest social media posts, the White Lotus star flaunts her incredible figure while revealing her look of books. "Book club," she captioned the Instagram image. Before Haley got into acting, she had been a competitive dancer for most of her life. During an interview with The Last Magazine, she said, "I danced for like eight or nine years. I was super focused and committed to that; all I did was go to school and then dance and get no sleep. That's when I learned about self-motivation and committing to something, and also about how much I love entertaining and telling stories. And I think dance and acting have those things in common." She added to Glamour that she still teaches dance. "I teach it every Wednesday. One day I'll do a jazz class; one day I'll do a really emo lyrical dance. This week I did a burlesque class and we all dressed up with feather boas," she said.
Starting her day with a matcha with oat milk is "a new thing I've been doing in the last year," says Haley. "I never drank caffeine every day, and I guess now that I'm in my late twenties, it's finally made its way into my life," she told Byrdie. I'm not too fond of the taste of coffee, and I only like it if it's 95 percent oat milk and there's some sweetener. Also, coffee really affects my bowels quite a bit, and it's not something I can drink regularly. [Laughs] Matcha is more gentle."
Haley pays attention to ingredients. "I like eating food items that don't have a long ingredient list. I prefer the taste of a date with peanut butter to most desserts in a grocery store," she told Byrdie.
Haley also takes care of her mental health. One way she gets her zen on? Mediation. She captioned this image, "meditating in the mouth." When you meditate, "you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress," says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

Haley does "So many things," for self-care, she told Glamour. "When I get home from working—because I pretty much film everywhere but California—I get back to cooking my own meals. I teach a dance class every week to old people. I crochet, sit in my bathtub, listen to Phoebe Bridgers…. Just being in my house with a consistent routine makes me feel at home."

Mendes was born in 1994 in Charlottesville, Virginia, but both her parents come from regions in Brazil. Her mother from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sol, and her father from the capital of Brazil, Brasilia.
Mendes is no stranger to adventure, as a child her along with her sister, Kiara, she moved with their parents a total of 16 times.
In recent months, Mendes has opened up in an interview with Shape magazine about her fittings for Riverdale and how it affected her health, causing her to develop an eating disorder.
“I’ve struggled with bulimia. It happened a little bit in high school and again when I was in college. Then it came back when I started working in this industry with fittings all the time and watching myself on camera,” she said.
