SI Swimsuit model Camille Kostek returns for upcoming issue

The 29-year-old is gearing up to appear in the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which is expected to drop this summer. The former Patriots cheerleader was the co-winner of the first SI Swimsuit Model Search in 2018 alongside Haley Kalil.

Talking about how she trains for the magazine she told. “I'm very happy that I got into the modeling industry now, because before when I was younger, I think when it came time for a photoshoot, I would really pay attention to what I was eating, and work out even harder that week. Now, it's become such a lifestyle.

I eat clean all the time, and I am taking a walk, or on a run, or doing workout bands wherever I am in a hotel room, or training at my at-home gym.

I really don't do anything different when it comes time to shoot for SI. It's become a lifestyle, it's become a routine, and you really get last-minute notice before the shoots, so thank goodness that I'm always prepared. Because I think that I found out just a couple of weeks before I knew I was going to shoot for my fourth year.

I'm just very blessed that I have figured out a way to enjoy a healthy lifestyle just about every day. That doesn't mean there are no cheat days, but I can't say it's really anything different.

SI Swimsuit model Haley Kalil says people are shocked by her science degree

The Minnesota native made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in 2018 after participating in the franchise’s first-ever open casting call. She was named the co-winner alongside Camille Kostek. This year, she’s back for the upcoming issue which is slated to drop sometime this summer.

Before Kalil made her modeling debut, she was already making a splash in the science world. She graduated summa cum laude from St. Cloud State University with a 4.0 in biomedical sciences and psychology with a minor in chemistry. The 28-year-old also published award-winning immunological research and worked with numerous local science programs to encourage young women to pursue STEM fields. Now, she’s launching The Nerd Herd, an organization that aims to empower women to love their bodies while pursuing STEM studies.

Kalil spoke about appearing in SI Swimsuit for the fourth time, the moment she nearly gave up her career, and how she deals with stereotypes.

“Honestly, I still can’t believe it. It seems like just yesterday that I was making a video for them in hopes that I’ll ever be considered. I never dreamed that I would be shooting my fourth spread for them. It’s mind-blowing. I’m honestly honored.

I’m honored because this is how I got my start in modeling. Swim Search was my first access to the modeling world. And it has allowed me to inspire so many other women to celebrate their bodies. And I’m repping all the ginger nerds out there *laughs*. But really, representation is everything. It’s one of the real reasons I wanted to be a part of Sports Illustrated because they were one of the first major fashion publications where I saw a redhead for the first time. And I thought, "Wow, everyone teases me at school for being a redhead. Here’s this model who’s beautiful and also a redhead." I felt I could be beautiful, too.

So for me, it’s all about being that representation for someone else. I hope someone can look at me and go, "I see myself in her." That’s really my ultimate goal with every single year that I shoot with SI.”

American model Haley Kalil always looking good

The photos showed the 28-year-old striking a series of poses on what appears to be a rooftop overlooking numerous trees. According to the geotag, the pictures were taken in Los Angeles.

Haley sizzled in a white swimsuit that accentuated her incredible curves and lean legs. The color of the one-piece also beautifully complemented her bronze skin. She kept the look relatively simple and accessorized with only a colorful bucket hat. The radiant redhead also wore her hair down in a slightly tousled style.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model sat on a white wall while holding a polaroid camera. She touched the top of her hat and focused her gaze on the photographer as she parted her full lips.

Haley Kalil revealed that it can take some work to get the perfect bikini shot

The slideshow that she shared included one photo that looked like the professionally shot images that appear in the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. However, the other two images captured her battle with her bathing suit top.

Haley joked about how many photos she has to pose for in order to take one that she feels is worthy. She also suggested that this is a struggle that many women deal with. The first image she shared was one that met her standard. The model stood on a beach near a dark rocky outcrop that extended out into the churning water. A large white dog explored the craggy formation as foamy waves crashed against it.

Haley posed a short distance away on the beach. She stepped her bare left foot forward and buried her toes in the dark, damp sand. The model rocked a bikini that was a cheery yellow hue. Her bottoms featured metallic ring accents on the front and a thong back that showed off her peachy booty. Her pose drew more attention to her derriere by emphasizing its round shape. The string ties of her matching triangle top were pulled down low in the back. The slinky garment displayed some sideboob as she posed in profile.

Haley was photographed reaching up to touch the right side of her hair. Her chestnut tresses were styled in a messy topknot. A sea breeze tossed her thick curtain bangs around in her two follow-up photos, but her fringe stayed put for the picture that she liked best. She had swept the short hair to the side of her face as she tilted it up toward the sky.

Haley was pictured adjusting her bikini top in her second snapshot. She gazed down at her chest as she tugged one of the garment’s cups outward with her right hand. She used the left to do the rearranging. In the final slide, she held her cupped hands a short distance away from her bust as she looked at the camera.

Sports Illustrated Model Haley Kalil showed her insane bikini figure

The placement of the bottoms also helped accentuate her strong hips as they contrasted with her small waist.

Kalil accessorized her look with a stylish necklace with a thin gold chain and pointed white stones all around it.

The white bathing suit clung to Haley’s every curve. The top was styled like a cropped tank, with cups that were cut to the side to reveal her cleavage. There were also little keyhole details on the front of the top’s straps.

The Brazilian-cut bikini bottoms rode high on Haley’s toned hips, making her long and lean legs seem endless. The bottom’s keyhole design mirrored the same detail on the top of the suit.

She sat on a large rock formation with the blue sea behind her. A boat and a few whitecaps atop the waves could also be seen in the background. White sea foam crashed on the rocks beneath Haley’s feet as she turned her body in different positions for the photographer.

Haley sported a breathtaking golden tan in the photos. Her fiery copper-colored hair was blown away from her face in the first pic. In subsequent images, her tresses framed her face as her bangs brushed the tops of her eyes.

Golden Barbie Jasmine Sanders won Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's Rookie of the Year Award

Model Jasmine Sanders has graced the pages of high-fashion magazines like Vogue and CR Fashion Book, and now she’s adding Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of the Year to her resumé.

After being in the 2019 SI Swim Issue that debuted in May, the model, who goes by Golden Barbie on social media, has won the Rookie of the Year Award.

Each year, the Rookie is chosen based on a combination of popular vote, editor’s choice and history as an SI Swimsuit brand ambassador. This year’s rookie class featured an amazing group of empowering women including Camille Kostek, Haley Kalil, Halima Aden, Kelsey Merritt, Olivia Brower, Tara Lynn and Winnie Harlow.

Last November, Sanders joined the SI Swim family, and was quick to share her excitement.

“I’m so excited to be part of the Sports Illustrated family!” the model sharedat the time of her initiation into the rookie class. “I love that they celebrate all types of women with different body types from different backgrounds. I can’t wait to be along side such icons as Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Irina Shayk, Chrissy Teigen, and Ashley Graham, just to name a few.”

Prior to joining SI’s rookie class, Sanders has walked the runways of designers like Moschino and Ralph Lauren and she even branched into the beauty world, making an appearance in Kylie Jenner’s “Glosses” video.

Swimsuit model Haley Kalil wants her mom to know she's "sorry" for dancing to a song with NSFW lyrics

The Sports Illustrated star took to social media on Wednesday and posted a sultry new video of herself dancing around in a bikini.

The 26-year-old pranced around on a balcony to the song “Feels Great” by Cheat Codes, Fetty Wap and CVBZ, which contains some profanities.

"This song I was jamming to has a bad word. Sorry mom," the model captioned the video.

In the 2019 SI: Swimsuit issue, the former Miss Minnesota 2014 shot on the beach in Kenya. However, her start in the modeling was unconventional. She attended a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit open casting in 2018 and was invited to pose for the magazine as a model search contestant.

Modeling was "always something that I wanted to do, but never knew how to get into it. And I submitted a video via Instagram and here I am," she told Fox News in April.

“I am a huge nerd, so before I shot for Sports Illustrated, I studied,” Kalil revealed. “I watched all of the best models. I watched Kate Upton, I watch Chrissy Teigen, I watched Heidi Klum. I watched all of these old videos to see how they moved their bodies and how they posed. That was my way of getting ready for the shoot because before you take a big test, you gotta study. So, I studied right before I shot my spread for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit."

Baton Rouge native Brooks Nader officially won the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019 Model Search.

The magazine revealed on Wednesday the pinup will appear in the 2020 issue as its handpicked “rookie.” She joins the ranks of fellow model search winners Camille Kostek, Haley Kalil, Anne De Paula and Mia Kang.

Back in May of this year, Nader attended the “SI Swimsuit on Location” event in Miami where she described how her life has changed since appearing on the magazine.

“For me, it’s everything,” Nader revealed at the venue’s red carpet affair. “I’ve always dreamt of it. It’s like a childhood dream of mine. I entered through Model Search, so I did the open call in Miami a year ago and now I’m here. So, the process and the journey for me is everything, because it was a long one.”

Nader insisted she would recommend any girl to take a chance to rock a skimpy swimsuit for the coveted magazine.

“Go for it,” she shared. “Do it. Be yourself. Own it. I mean, editor MJ Day and all the editors are just as nervous to meet you guys. Like, they want to see you. They want to see the real you. You want to be authentic. Show your flaws… MJ loves that. And it’s just such a special thing to be a part of this brand.”

The outlet also revealed Nader easily stands out from the pack. The pinup is described as someone who is obsessed with eating jalapenos from the jar and talented in peeling two pounds of crawfish in under 10 minutes, among other unique talents.

Looking back, Nader admitted she was stunned when the magazine’s editor called her with the exciting news about appearing in this year’s issue.

Nader also told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit that she hopes the opportunity will help her define what it means to be a model in today’s fashion industry.

“I want to inspire and encourage young women like my three little sisters to embrace and own who they are and go for it all in life,” Nader continued. “SI inspires us and gives us all permission to own our bodies and our personalities and gifts to let them shine before the watching world.”
