Naomi Osaka breaks barriers

Naomi Osaka caught everyone’s attention when she beat tennis superstar Serena Williams in a 2021 match and continued to receive attention for more than just her athleticism. She’s an activist, breaks stigmas, and has one of the purest souls. Not to mention, she is a natural beauty that owns the moment when showing off her physique in bikinis the cutest swimsuits.

Naomi became the first Black female athlete to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated in July 2021. The advocate showcased her powerful demeanor while wearing a semi-sheer black one-piece bikini.

“We celebrate Naomi for her passion, strength, and power geared towards consistently breaking barriers when it comes to equality, social justice, and mental health,” Sports Illustrated editor in chief, MJ Day, said.

Naomi talked about the cover with supermodel Tyra Banks, who was the first Black woman to grace the cover of the magazine solo while expressing that she hopes there are “ many, many” more women of color to follow in her footsteps.

“I feel like I’ve always been one to not want to use my voice,” she told the America’s Next Top Model alum. “But then I feel like there’s also a lot of things that have happened, and over the past year I just felt like, you know, there has to be someone that speaks up about uncomfortable things.”

The reality star Kim Kardashian posed in a black bikini and a nude one-piece during the shoot, in snippets from Hulu’s The Kardashian's latest trailer for the series’ next episode. Some of the photos were taken on a beach and others on a balcony as she confidently showed off her figure.

“We’re here in the D.R. and we’re doing shoots, Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover,” she can be heard saying as the plane lands, in the trailer. “There’s like, so much going on. I’m trying to get so much content.”

In addition to the swimsuits, Kim rocked other outfits in the trailer, including a black bandeau top and a long skirt that had a high slit. She paired it with strapped heels and had her long hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was also accessorized with gold and white jewelry for the various looks as her makeup was on point.

Kim Kardashian bares her butt in a new photo

Kim Kardashian’s full moon is putting Sunday’s Super Flower Blood Moon to shame.

The socialite, 41, sent pulses racing with a “candid” photo of her wearing nothing but a nude-colored triangle bikini top and a tiny matching thong.

“Sun bum,” the “Kardashians” star captioned the cheeky display, which showed her walking toward the beautiful beach and away from the lucky photographer, as her long brown locks blew in the wind.

The closet organizer-turned-high-end fashionista paired her barely-there ensemble with a Kardashian-Jenner staple: giant mirrored sunglasses.

The snap was clearly a throwback, as Kardashian’s been keeping up with the platinum blond dye job she debuted at the 2022 Met Gala earlier this month as part of her Marilyn Monroe-inspired look.

Though she didn’t tag the location, Kim Kardashian is currently in Italy for sister Kourtney’s wedding, it’s possible the sultry shot was taken in the Dominican Republic, where Kim shot her first-ever Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover.

The reality star fronts the famous magazine’s 2022 issue, which dropped Monday, wearing a nude bikini similar to the one from her photo.

Kim Kardashian is blown away after landing her first-ever Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover

The 41-year-old star paid tribute to the iconic magazine but insisted she always assume the honor of fronting the Swimsuit edition was reserved for ‘young’ models and runway stars.

‘I vividly remember Tyra Banks on the cover and women with curves, I remember thinking that was just so cool. But I still thought you had to be a professional model and a runway model,’ she told.

‘It was always really young girls. I don’t want to date myself or sound old. But in my 40s? That’s crazy! I never thought in a million years that I would be shooting one myself.’

For the 2022 issue launch, Kim joins singer Ciara, rising model Yumi Nu and model and activist Maye Musk as the four cover stars.

In a statement, MJ Day – SI Swimsuit’s editor in chief – said: ‘The journey we’ve been on — to break out of the mold the world put us in — may sound familiar. It’s certainly familiar to the women we’ve chosen to be our cover models: Maye, Ciara, Yumi, Kim.’

She added: ‘Kim Kardashian, no stranger to the world’s judgment, continues to live proudly, authentically, and unapologetically through the noise.’

For her own cover story, Kim has penned a letter to her younger self and used the opportunity to reflect on her own personal growth.

‘It’s easy to say to just ignore the criticism, but another thing you’ll learn is that at some point it will click in your head that it’s not about you anymore,’ she wrote.

The 2022 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue went for the WNBA

The latest iteration of the special edition will feature five WNBA players — Storm guard Sue Bird, free agent guard Te’a Cooper, Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike, Liberty guard DiDi Richards and Storm forward Breanna Stewart — among its pages.

The players, photographed in black swimsuits, were chosen in attempt to represent the league’s diversity and inclusion.

“This is who we are; this is the makeup of our league,” Bird said. “We represent a variety of things: of course women, women of color, members of the LGBTQIA2+ community and much more. . . .

The Swimsuit issue for so many years has been iconic and has represented a lot for women. Now you are seeing an evolution in what that can mean and what that can look like, and I think the WNBA players being a part of that is what makes it special. There is no better group of women to showcase that evolution.”

All five players have played big roles in the WNBA’s pursuit of social and racial justice on and off the court.

“The women of the WNBA traded in their uniforms for swimsuits and made all our swishes come true,” Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editor MJ Day said. “Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, Nneka Ogwumike, Te’a Cooper, and DiDi Richards will be featured in our 2022 issue- hitting news stands on May 19th. These players not only dominate on the court but are tirelessly leading the charge in speaking out on social justice issues — fighting for racial justice and equality and working together to create sustainable change.”

Naomi Osaka is posing for Sports Illustrated

Naomi Osaka is currently in Madrid, where she is about to play the local WTA1000 event. Before, the Japanese sensation spent some time posing in a bikini for Sports Illustrated.

Naomi commented: “I’m Naomi Osaka and we are currently in Malibu, California. We are shooting the cover, well yeah, my first cover of the SI Swimsuit. It feels really amazing just growing up and Napa Kenai book watching so many incredible women grace discover. For me, feels like a dream. I remember Tyra Banks’ issue, I remember Beyonce’s.”

Naomi Osaka didn’t hide the fact that she felt not 100% comfortable at the beginning to add: “I do have a bit of nerves being photographed in a bikini just because I feel like it’s something that I’ve never done before so it’s a tiny bit out of my element. Shooting with your style is really fun. It’s really incredible to just work with him because I growing up, I used to watch America’s Next Top Model. So of course, I was really nervous walking into it but I don’t know, he’s just really fun.”

Nina Agdal is baring it all

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model posted a completely nude shoot. The model uploaded a silhouette of her nude body overlooking the sunset in Switzerland.

"Happy to report the saunas in Switzerland in fact are hotter than most," she captioned that photo.

Nina Agdal is reportedly single after she and Jack Brinkley-Cook, Christie Brinkley’s son, called it quits in Nov. 2021 after four years of dating. She previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio for nearly a year before they broke up in 2017. However, insiders have insisted the pair remain pals.

The actor, 47, is currently involved with 24-year-old model Camila Morrone.

Agdal, who grew up playing basketball in her native Denmark, has appeared in six Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues. According to the outlet, she made her first appearance in 2012 and earned the "Rookie of the Year" title. In 2014, the model appeared on the cover alongside Chrissy Teigen and Lily Aldridge. Recently, Agdal launched her own fitness app.

Kate Upton looking good as always in a bikini

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model sizzled rocking a bikini.

The blonde bombshell showed off her figure in the triangle top as she partially lounged in a postcard-worthy infinity pool, capturing the deep blue ocean behind her.

“Mentally, I am here,” she captioned the image, suggesting the snap could be a throwback photo. In the picture, she gently leaned on both elbows as she pushed herself out of the water to catch some rays, leaving her legs submerged in the pool.

Her toned abs were on full display as she arched backward, getting just a bit of sun on her face which was otherwise protected by black sunglasses and a large straw hat. While she didn’t share a location, Kate looked like she was in total paradise!

Ashley Callingbull has been selected to model in this year’s Sports Illustrated magazine swimsuit edition — the first Indigenous woman to be featured

“I got the call at 6 a.m. I was still in bed. I couldn’t believe it,” Callingbull said in an interview with Global News from the Dominican Republic Thursday night. “I thought I was actually dreaming… I just started crying.

“And then finding out I’m the first Plains Cree First Nations woman — wow. It’s just still so surreal to me. I’m still in shock. I’m just so proud”.

“It’s breaking a lot of barriers but it’s also opening a door for other Indigenous women to follow so that they’re comfortable in this space and they feel that they can shine here,” she said.

“Being the first is great but knowing that I’m not the last is the most important thing for me.”

The model and advocate, who is from Enoch Cree Nation, just west of Edmonton, is also the only Canadian in this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

“It’s really exciting and I hope Canada is there for me to vote and support me,” she said, explaining the cover model will be chosen through a vote.

“I want to represent my people and I want to represent my country,” Callingbull said.

In her meetings with the magazine, Callingbull said Sports Illustrated was looking for more than models for this edition.

“They’re looking for women who are not just diverse, but that have these powerful platforms and do so much work on their own. It’s not just modeling; it’s about how you can use your voice, how you can amplify other women’s voices, and what good you can bring to the world.”

Callingbull shared her upbringing included domestic violence and poverty. That inspired her to help women and children escaping abuse and she’s partnered with WIN House on several projects. She also works with at-risk youth in the foster system.

Being featured as a proud, independent Indigenous woman in such a well-known magazine is a way to highlight a population that often is ignored or silenced, Callingbull said.

“Indigenous women, we’re always considered a target,” she said. “People see us ‘less than’ and now… everyone knows what Sports Illustrated is… I’m in this position where I can use my voice (to) create change.

“It’s so crazy to think where I came from. I was this really insecure Native girl that didn’t even dare to dream because there was no one out there chasing the same dream. Now I’m signing contracts that say ‘Sports Illustrated’ on the top of it. I just can’t even comprehend it yet.

“It makes me so excited because who else is going to be doing this after me… There’s going to be more individuals chasing these dreams.”

The cold never bothered Molly Sims

Molly Sims isn’t letting the pesky chilly season get in the way of proudly flaunting her swimsuit-ready bod.

The model and actress posted a photo of herself rocking a skimpy string bikini while in the snow. She completed her look with a more seasonal-friendly fur hat and black snow boots.

The 48-year-old pointed up at the sky as she posed in front of a snow-topped mountain during a wintry getaway. "Ski week I’m coming for you," the mother of three captioned the sizzling snap.

Just before the New Year, Sims was soaking up the sun at her favorite tropical resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

In 2019, the star insisted that staying committed to a 12-minute workout helped her stay active despite having a busy schedule. "I don’t do it every day," she said in a video. "I do it three to four times a week."

The star said she and her trainer recommend carving out extra time whenever possible and to incorporate "a great playlist" to stay motivated. "This is something that we always incorporate after I do my cardio, which is always a variation," she explained. "I think as a mom or anyone really, it’s important to carve out an amount of time daily to do one thing that clears your mind and releases any stress you may have. For me, this is working out." The routine consists of jumping jacks, lunges and leg raises, among others, to keep the heart rate up.

Sims, who once wore a $30 million diamond bikini for the 2006 issue of Sports Illustrated, is now a hands-on mom.

Back in 2017, Sims told she was eager to take on the role of mom after marrying Scott Stuber in 2011 even if it meant putting her career as a supermodel and Hollywood actress on hold.

"You know, I started getting older," Sims explained at the time. "I had my first baby when I was 39… I’ve done a lot in a very short amount of time. It’s like a record. Three kids in five years. But I think because I was older and I met my Prince Charming a little bit later in life that I definitely had to buckle down…We weren’t able to have a real family if I didn’t take a little bit of a step back in my career." Sims added she has zero regrets about her decision to hit pause on her career. "Yes, I do miss being on a TV show," said Sims. "It’s a little bit harder to do a lot of different things and just one thing. But it wouldn’t allow me the family time that I have with them. And these years are short. I wouldn’t want to miss them."

Cindy Kimberly is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue's newest rookie

Model Cindy Kimberly, who shot to fame in 2015 when Justin Bieber shared her photo, is now a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie.

The magazine announced this week that Cindy, 23, is the 'latest addition to the SI Swim Family,' and posed for the upcoming issue in a very tiny white bikini.

It's certainly a meteoric rise for the Dutch-born stunner, who became instantly recognizable at age 17 when Bieber shared a snapshot of her face with the adoring caption: 'Omg who is this!!'

Justin's photo of Cindy received a lot of attention, and she has since gone on to model for brands including Marc Jacobs, Boohoo, and Savage x Fenty.

She's also posed for Maxim, GQ Spain, Cosmopolitan Spain, Elle Spain, Vanity Fair Spain, and Glamour Spain.

Now she's adding Sports Illustrated to the list with a shoot by photographer Ben Watts in Barbados this year.

In the photo that was released yesterday, Cindy wears a too-small white bikini top while her curly hair cascades around her shoulders.

She smiles at the camera and holds up her right arm, showing off a tattoo.

Christie Brinkley is still an uptown girl

The former Sports Illustrated model, Christie Brinkley, 67, posted a new pic of herself wearing a tiny black bikini, knit coverup, and a large hat, before hitting the beach.

While there were some trolls among the praise, Brinkley has previously said she continues to show off sexy snaps for other women her age.

“I post these pictures because I hear from women my age all the time that say, ‘Thank you for changing the way people think about the numbers,’” she said last year.

“Everybody’s different, everybody’s unique,” she added. “But it’s like telling a gymnast she can’t do flips past a certain age. It doesn’t make sense. If you’ve got great legs, show them … Don’t be controlled by those numbers.”

Despite other supermodels like Paulina Porizkova, 56, returning to the pages of Sports Illustrated decades after their first appearances — as well as daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook making the first-ever second-generation appearance in the glossy in 2017 — Brinkley, says her bikini days are now purely for fun.

“Been there, done that,” she exclaimed.

For Kate Bock, there’s never a bad time to slip into a swimsuit

The Canadian model Kate Bock made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in 2013. Fast forward to 2020, when the 33-year-old teamed up with Jasmine Sanders and Olivia Culpo to appear on the coveted cover. As a sought-after supermodel, the call to fly to any dazzling destination can happen at any moment, which is why she’s always game to strike a pose in a two-piece.

But these days, Bock is keeping busy in other ways. And wedding bells will be heard soon as Bock said "yes" in January to NBA star Kevin Love.

Bock spoke about being part of the SI Swimsuit family, creating fun cocktails at home, how she stays in shape all year long, as well as the must-have foods that are always in her fridge. " I’m always running around, so I like things that I can grab easily. For example, I love Abby’s Better squeeze packs. They have different types of nut butter like almonds or even sunflower. They’re great for when I’m heading to the gym and I can just throw them in my purse. I also like to carry them when I’m traveling. It’s an easy snack on the go.

But I’m a big almond butter person, so you will always find that. I’m also a big egg person. I eat eggs pretty much every single day for breakfast. I love eggs. I’m also a big avocado fan. I love eating it fresh or using it to make a chocolate mousse for dessert. I know it sounds weird, but it’s really good. I highly recommend it. I also have a lot of sliced turkey and fresh chicken. I always like to have premade food in Tupperwares, just ready to go. That way, when you get home and you’re really tired, you just need to heat it. And you’ll have plenty of options, too."

Talking about what made her want to join the magazine she told " I just remember looking at the magazines when I was a younger girl in Canada. I always thought the women were so beautiful and the locations felt so exotic like it was all a dream. I’ve been with this brand for nearly a decade, which feels insane. But they have supported me through all these years. We’re together all year with events, meetings and calls. They’re really present in my life. They’ve helped me grow as a person, and they inspired me to develop as an entrepreneur, which I’m loving."

And this is the way she prepared for new photo shoots "It’s crazy. People always ask me, "How do you prepare for a shoot?" In my industry, you always have to be prepared. I could get a call to fly tonight to Mexico and shoot a bikini campaign tomorrow. It’s sometimes that quick. So I don’t prepare that much for Sports Illustrated. In this industry, you always have to be ready to go. So it’s more about having a healthy lifestyle with daily exercise than anything else. And the brand does an amazing job of making every girl feel her absolute best in her body."

And also she revealed her fitness routine. I’m someone who lives in between a few different places because my fiancé plays basketball in Cleveland. So we are constantly traveling. I am someone who works out very regularly, but it all depends on what I have accessible to me that day. Sometimes I’ll do an at-home workout using a fitness app. I love good dance cardio because it’s really fun, and you can honestly do it anywhere. When I’m at home, I work out with my trainer in the mornings at Gotham Gym. I love it and I can get my workout done for the day. Sometimes I’ll even bike there, and it feels great to get your day started that way. If I’ve been traveling a lot or I feel run down, I love hot yoga to help stretch everything out. I do spin. I like SoulCycle and I do Pilates. And if I’m in a different city, I look up workouts near my hotel.

I also have a puppy, so she gets me outside every day. I’ve started to notice the mileage that I walk with my dog. So I walk everywhere to get things done, but I’m also in a walkable city. If I’m in a location that’s not so walkable, I get on a treadmill and walk for an hour. And I find that makes a big difference. And on days when I feel like challenging myself, maybe I’ll do a bit of an incline for an hour.

I think the key is to get your body moving. You shouldn’t get intimidated by doing certain workouts. Whatever works for you is great. I also like the TRX Suspension Trainers, and you can just hook them to your door. It’s amazing to stretch on. You can do cardio or strength training with your body weight. It’s also easy to travel with. It’s hard to have an excuse at this point to not work out because there are so many things you can do.

SI Swimsuit model Chanel Iman reflects on posing for the magazine

The supermodel and wife of New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard has recently partnered with BIC to launch the brand’s BodyMark temporary tattoo markers, which are available in team colors and logo stencils representing all 32 teams.

But before the 30-year-old cheered on her beau, the mother of two and former Victoria’s Secret Angel was featured on the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, quickly becoming a sought-after pinup.

Chanel Iman spoke to Fox News about shooting for the iconic brand, how she stays in shape all year, as well as some of her go-to guilty pleasures.

“Shooting with Sports Illustrated is always so exciting because I love the team that I work with. The places that you travel for Sports Illustrated are some of the most beautiful places that I've ever been in my life. It's just fun to be around women that empower you and make you feel good while you're at work.

I've always bought Sports Illustrated as a teenage girl growing up. I prayed that I would one day be working with them. So it's definitely an achievement for me to be one of the Sports Illustrated girls.

I think we all have goals and sometimes you just have to stay focused. I would say stay focus to achieve the goal that you want for yourself. If it’s fitness, cut back on what you eat and [be mindful of] sugar. For me right now, I’m trying to drink more water so that I can cut back on drinking so much juice.

When I'm happy in my life, it really shows in my confidence and that's where my confidence comes from. Just being true to yourself and loving life. Just being happy in life, spreading positivity and love is how I feel good inside.”

Bar Refaeli looked sensational as she posed in the mirror

The model, 36, donned a stringy turquoise two-piece in the racy snap, while posing with her hand on her hip.

Bar Refaeli hair was tied back into an elegant up do and she appeared to be going make-up free.

Last September, an Israeli court sentenced the entrepreneur to nine months of community service and sentenced her mother to 16 months in prison, ending a prolonged tax evasion case that had sullied the image of a once-beloved national icon.

According to a plea bargain accepted by the court, the two were also ordered to pay a $1.5 million fine on top of back taxes owed to the state.

The prolonged case, built around the celebrity's worldwide income and the family's attempts to downplay her ties to Israel, damaged her well-crafted public image as an informal ambassador for the country.

Still, the blonde remains a popular TV personality and pitch-woman whose image is ubiquitous on highway billboards throughout the country.

The case centres around her residence during years when she travelled around the world in high-profile modelling campaigns, graced the cover of Sports Illustrated and had a lengthy romantic relationship with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Israeli tax law determines residency primarily upon whether the person spent most of the calendar year in the country.

Paulina Porizkova revealing she is a fan of the 16:8 intermittent fasting plan

Paulina Porizkova has been showing off her incredible figure and toned abs for nearly four decades, so it should come as no surprise that fans are dying to know what the supermodel eats in a day.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum opened up about her daily diet in a new video, revealing that she is a fan of the 16:8 intermittent fasting plan beloved by Jennifer Aniston and Kourtney Kardashian.

'I do the 16:8 diet, which just means basically that you don't eat for 16 hours and then you eat for eight,' Porizkova, 54, explained. 'I generally take it as I eat whatever I want for eight hours because I like food, but I also kind of tend to like more healthy food.'

However, she noted that she listens to her body and isn't one to ignore a craving, saying: 'If I need a fried chicken, then I need a fried chicken. It's just the way it is.'

'It's actually really easy,' she insisted. 'I did get hungry at first when I first started doing this diet. I'd kind of obsess about food, but then it sort of evens out. Now, I don't even think about it. In fact, I'm not at all hungry until 16 hours later when I do get hungry.'

Porizkova likes to break her fast with a vegan smoothie which offers a mix of smoothies, soups, grain bowls, and wellness shots.

Former professional golfer turned sports media personality Paige Spiranac posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2018

Paige Spiranac, who played golf at the University of Arizona and San Diego State University, played professionally for a brief period of time. She’s also done some big things off the course.

Among them: posing for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

Spiranac posed for the iconic magazine issue in 2018.

“I’ve been a fan for such a long time and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would get the opportunity to be a part of the SI Swimsuit family. I get chills every time I think about it. So yes, it’s still that hard to believe and I’m still in disbelief!” she told SI Swim.

Spiranac had some pretty cool bathing suits for the shoot. The former professional golfer was recently named the most-followed golfer on social media.

Danica Patrick posed for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue a few years ago

Danica Patrick, who made history during her racing career, posed for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in back-to-back years. She posed for the issue in 2008 and ’09, even appearing on the cover (in small fashion, but still on the cover).

“You could actually say I was on the cover,” Patrick said in an interview years ago. “I had a little image in the top right corner of the cover. I think Bar Refaeli was the cover girl that year.”

Patrick called the experience unforgettable.

“I had so much fun. It was a great experience and I loved it completely. Like, I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun,” she added.
