Today's Bikini News
Alexis Ren is doing yoga – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the influencer shows off her amazing body in a two-piece exercise set during a RVCA yoga session. "Been so excited for this," she captioned the Instagram stories, loving the Costa Mesa, California–based clothing company owned by Authentic Brands Group.
Alexis loves to dance. "Ballet has been so many things for me. It's been heaven and an escape. Hell and a prison. Through hours of pouring sweat and soul onto the dance floor, I have found a work ethic and a determination I wouldn't trade for the world. The ability to look resistance square in the eyes and keep going," she says. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.
Alexis is a fan of tennis tennis – and the cardio-meets-aerobic workout is great for your health, says ACE Fitness. "While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding," they say.
Alexis prioritizes her mental health and self-care. "In the mornings, I journal," Alexis told Grazia. "I think journaling is one of the most important things to build into your morning routine. Journaling is an important tool because the days and years pass by so quickly, but journaling stays forever. Looking back, you get to see yourself grow in your writing. When I look back on my journals from even five years ago, it makes me proud to see how much I've grown and evolved."
Alexis makes sure to get plenty of sleep. "My bedtime varies, although lately, it's been around 11:30 pm," she told Grazia. "The time I wake up varies by the day, but if I have a few days off, I try to let myself sleep in (which means 9 am latest). I like to listen to my body and tune in to what it's telling me, even if that means waking up at 6 am daily, or 9 am from time to time. As of lately, I feel more creative towards the evening, so I have been staying up a little later to work on projects and brainstorm." What are the health benefits of sleep? According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z's is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
"I love surfing," Alexis told Grazia. "Lots and lots of practice," she captioned a recent post. According to the Australian government's Better Health, surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. "Once you're standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up," they say.
Alexis enjoys pilates, which "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health," says the Mayo Clinic. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

more...Alexis Ren is a very successful model and influencer. She competed on the 27th season of Dancing With The Stars, and finished in fourth place. Ren shares a lot of gorgeous photos on social media. She recently shared a set of selfies on her Instagram story. In them, Ren wore a colorful swimsuit top and a bandana. Ren's impressive figure was on display.
Ren has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her secrets in an interview with Glamour. Ren makes sure to use serums on her face. "I just started implementing the Sonya Dakar Super Clear as a base. It's a preventative thing for breakouts, and I use it every day. Then I use the vitamin C serum with hyaluronic and vitamin C, which I've learned is important. I kind of pat it on as opposed to rub it in, because it peels away, which is kind of weird."
Ren helped come up with her skincare routine with the help of facialist, Sonya Dakar. "She's helped me understand the types of substances that work on my skin," Ren says to Glamour. "She came on and taught a skin course to my community, and she broke down why we need vitamins, why we need hyaluronic acid. Then you don't have to rely on one brand. You can be like, 'I'm just looking for these exact ingredients.' It puts the power back in your hands."
Ren tells Glamour that she makes sure to cleanse her face. "I use two facial cleansers: One of them is the Sensi Wash by Sonya Dakar, and the other one is the Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser from Innisfree. The Sensi wash is made with oat milk, so it has this milky feel. That doesn't actually get the makeup off; it just cleanses my face. If have makeup on, I use something soapy that's going to get rid of everything and that's the Innisfree."
Ren shared her favorite moisturizers with Glamour. "After serums, I use the Stem Cell Transformer, which is an antiaging cream. I just got on it. It's also by Sonya Dakar, and I think she said I can start it around 24, which is how old I am. For my neck, I started using the SBLA Wand—I don't really know if it works, but I like to try things. It's this sculpting thing; you put it on your neck and under your chin and stuff, and it uses collagen tightening and metabolic melting, because our necks are the first parts of our body that you can really start to see aging. I wanted to start a treatment early, and I'm just trying this now. I use it every night just before bed time. I feel like we neglect our chest and our necks, but our chest is more sensitive than our face."
Ren shared her daily routine in an interview with Grazia. She says that she works out in the mornings, and shared her favorite ones. "Starting my day off with a workout helps me to be my most productive self. I have been a ballerina for 20 years, so ballet is my first love when it comes to movement. I also love long walks and hikes, yoga, and surfing. For me, when I can move through an activity that I love, I enjoy the time spent doing it rather than it feeling like something I need to check off of my to-do list."

more...Alexis Ren is surfing in her swimsuit. The influencer-turned-actress shows off her famous figure in a bathing suit in one of her latest social media posts. "Lots and lots of practice," she captioned the Instagram post.
In a recent Instagram post, Run detailed her love of dance. "Ballet has been so many things for me. It's been heaven and an escape. Hell and a prison. Through hours of pouring sweat and soul onto the dance floor, I have found a work ethic and a determination I wouldn't trade for the world. The ability to look resistance square in the eyes and keep going. Yet, I've also pushed myself over the edge striving for perfection," she wrote. "When you get that first pair of point shoes, they're stiff. Snug to the bone, they must be broken in through time and dedication.
Eventually there is a level of trust, until finally over time they can no longer hold you up and we have to once again find a new shoe that fits. Art is like this. We're new students, stumbling and finding our way until we get the hang of something. Eventually, we outgrow our own work and if we aren't willing to risk something new, our spark crumbles and breaks down. No matter what phase i'm in—the building or the breaking, I know that if I step into a studio, I am home.
Home in this body, home in this world. If any of you are asking yourselves where your spark for life went- ask: have I abandoned parts of myself? Go backwards. Sometimes, (most of the time) our evolution comes from peeling back the layers that were never meant to be there. Remembering who you were is how you continue to build your legacy, staying forever faithful to your spark. Our childhood dreams become our adult passions."
Alexis loves playing tennis. According to ACE Fitness it blends together cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and hand-eye coordination. Ren follows a plant-based diet (although she makes an occasional exception for fresh fish). "I've been dabbling in a plant-based diet for the last four years," she says. "I realized that there's such an abundance, you don't have to sacrifice taste or quality of food when you're vegan… When I wake up, I immediately have my coffee with vanilla soy creamer. I can't process the day without it."
Ren makes her own salads with kale, avocado, olive oil, garbanzo beans, and lime. Garbanzo beans—also known as chickpeas—are a good option for vegans, as they contain all nine essential amino acids. "Chickpeas are also an excellent source of non-animal protein," says Patricia Bridget Lane, RDN, LD/N. "They're great for vegetarians and vegans."
Ren used to avoid bread—but now she enjoys it, guilt-free. "Bread was always a trigger," she says. "I gauged how much I've healed off of my eating disorder based on if I can eat a piece of bread and be okay. Bread's not the enemy, and I know we need carbohydrates. The last six months, I've been loading bread into my diet and being okay. I'm at peace with it."
Ren incorporates yoga and Pilates into her fitness routine. "Yoga seems to have this powerful combination of the physical movement combined with the deep breathing, meditation and mindfulness aspect," says Corinna Keenmon MD, FAPA. "This total package helps us physically by increasing flexibility, along with heart and brain health. Plus, the cognitive and emotional improvements that happen over time are priceless."
Ren always makes room for delicious desserts. One of her favorites is raw pumpkin pie. "It's really about giving yourself permission to let things taste that good," she says. "Some of my favorite desserts are raw pastries. I always find it so fascinating that we can have pastries that are raw."

Alexis, 23, wore a red bikini constructed out of ribbed stretch fabric that gave it a casual, somewhat sporty vibe. The material also hugged her svelte frame to showcase her every curve. Her top featured an asymmetrical neckline and a single shoulder strap on the right side. The design added visual interest to the two-piece, and it only revealed a hint of cleavage. Her matching bottoms appeared to have a thong back.
She stood in profile for her first photo. The pose captured the curve of pert posterior, and the model expertly accentuated it further by provocatively arching her back and popping her left leg forward. The fingers of her left hand were splayed on her toned thigh.
Alexis also flaunted her flat stomach as she fixed her heavy-lidded gaze on the camera. Her blond hair was swept up and over to the left side so that it covered up her eye. A gentle breeze appeared to lift up a few of her golden locks. She exuded an air of confidence and strength, thanks in part to her photographer’s decision to shoot her from a low angle. This emphasized her height and forced her to look down at the camera, making her seem powerful and in control.
The backdrop of Alexis’ photos was a bright blue sky covered with white fluffy clouds. A line of cerulean ocean could also be seen stretching out to the horizon. The colors really made the red of her bikini pop.
In her second photo, the former Dancing with the Stars competitor gave her fans a front view of her two-piece. She turned her head to the side and hooked her fingers around the stretchy bands that formed the sides of her bikini bottoms. The front of the garment sat down low, making Alexis’ toned torso look even longer and leaner.
Alexis, 23, is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018 Rookie of the Year, so she’s become a pro at posing in skimpy bikinis.
