Nina Agdal is striking a pose in a blue bathing suit via one of her latest social media posts, striking a pose on the beach with her hands caressing her scalp. "Loves a scalp massage," she cheekily captioned the Instagram post.

Nina has a holistic approach to health and even created her own method. "I wanted to create The Agdal Method to start spreading the word that it's not about how long you spend in the gym, going to a workout for 60 minutes and torturing yourself, or only drinking green juices and eating lettuce," she told W. "What's going on in your personal life, and your relationships, your finances, has to do with what's going on your plate and how much exercise you're getting in on a weekly basis."

Nina makes sure to move on a daily basis. "I think we have to all give ourselves a little bit of grace when we're traveling. It's really hard keeping up with any sort of workout schedule when you're thrown off your routine and not in your normal environment. When I'm traveling, if I just get that 15 or 20 minutes in, (on the mat or on a towel or going for a jog outside to see where I am) it's always extremely helpful for me mentally," she told W.

Nina emphasizes the importance of music when it comes to exercise. "The most important thing I always tell people is to create great playlists that make you want to move," she told W. "I always tell people, 'Don't bother bringing [equipment] with you. You can always use water bottles, you can use towels, you can go outside and use a chair.' But just make sure you have your playlist ready."

Nina doesn't promote diet culture. "In terms of wellness, I think diets are such a lie. I don't believe in the word 'diet,' or diets at all, for that matter," she told W. "I made my own 'diet soup' once, which was basically water, chicken broth, celery, and tomatoes. I had one spoonful of it, and I never had it again. I thought it sounded like a great idea, but it wasn't pleasant," she added to Coveteur.

Nina prioritizes hydration. "I drink at least eight cups of water a day. I also drink a lot of iced or hot green tea because I love the taste, plus it gives me energy and can speed up your metabolism—or at least I believe so! I always try to start my day by drinking an entire bottle of water while taking my vitamin supplements. In the morning, I get a large Americano, and in the afternoon, I'll get an iced soy macchiato," she told Coveteur. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.

Nina nourishes her body with food. She starts her day with coffee, and either scrambled eggs or Greek yogurt for protein. "If I'm cooking for myself, I try to keep it simple so there's not too much cleaning to do afterwards. My go-to is an omelette with vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, bell peppers, chili flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Or I'll do a steak with a tossed salad," she told Coveteur. She also likes to eat dried mango, hummus with celery, green juice with kale, celery, parsley, ginger, apple, and Greek yogurt. "Or half an avocado smashed with a little bit of salt and chili flakes on a piece of whole-wheat toast. The chili flakes add just enough heat. I also love a good burger or a steak with a little béarnaise sauce. After a week of hard work, I'll reward myself with that and an ice-cold beer."

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model posted a completely nude shoot. The model uploaded a silhouette of her nude body overlooking the sunset in Switzerland.

"Happy to report the saunas in Switzerland in fact are hotter than most," she captioned that photo.

Nina Agdal is reportedly single after she and Jack Brinkley-Cook, Christie Brinkley’s son, called it quits in Nov. 2021 after four years of dating. She previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio for nearly a year before they broke up in 2017. However, insiders have insisted the pair remain pals.

The actor, 47, is currently involved with 24-year-old model Camila Morrone.

Agdal, who grew up playing basketball in her native Denmark, has appeared in six Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues. According to the outlet, she made her first appearance in 2012 and earned the "Rookie of the Year" title. In 2014, the model appeared on the cover alongside Chrissy Teigen and Lily Aldridge. Recently, Agdal launched her own fitness app.

Nina Agdal has zero regrets about speaking out after a magazine body shamed her

Since the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model got personal on Instagram about her harrowing ordeal in 2018, the 27-year-old says she has a newfound purpose. Agdal is keeping busy these days encouraging other women to embrace their curves and so-called imperfections, particularly on social media. And according to Agdal, the responses she has received from people have only inspired her to change the way she approaches her career.

Agdal spoke to Fox News about how she deals with insecurities today, being discovered by SI.

About how she stay in shape she told “ I’m not going to lie, I do work out five to six times a week and I do that year-round. I think it's important to remember that working out and taking care of yourself should not be something that goes with the season of summer. It's a lifestyle and it's just pretty much something I do every day for my mental health, physical health. I just overall feel so much better when I stay active. So I try to do it yearly, every single day if I can, just for that purpose.”

When she was discovered she said “Sports Illustrated started ... Oh my God, is that seven years ago? I went to a casting, I met MJ... I got the call that I was up for my rookie shoot and that was the first year with them.”

“And then two years later I got the cover with Chrissy Tiegen and Lily Aldridge... I love Sports Illustrated Swimsuit... They supported me and they support other women. It's just incredible how they incorporate so many different body types and skin color and whatever it is. They just embrace every woman as we should.” She continued

About Where her your confidence came from she spoke sincere “ I don't know where my confidence comes from... Some days I wake up and I'm feeling low and I don't feel great about myself. I think that's OK too. And then on other days, I'm... fun and happy Nina. But I think it just comes from a lot of years of just getting to know myself, doing what feels right, self-care and really practicing it every single day. And talking to yourself in a different way.

It really just takes yourself to stop when you do it and be like, "You know what? This is not OK. I wouldn't speak to anyone else like this so why am I even talking to myself like that?"... But that being said, there are days where I want to crawl into a hole and I don't feel great about myself... then I come out on the other side and I'm like, "OK, let's get after it.”

How important has it been for Agdal to show other girls that you can embrace your curves no matter your size?It’s definitely been super important for me to speak up about it. A little more than a year ago I had an incident where a magazine came out and said that I was too big for the magazine, the clothes, and I wasn't the image that they thought I was going to be. And that made me really upset, I hadn't spoken out about how I have been bullied or... body shamed, in the industry.

And just me speaking up about it... a number of women and parents and moms and girls are responding to it, saying, "Thank you so much for being open about this, the fact that you're dealing with it. I deal with this on an everyday basis and you speaking up is hopefully just going to try to make this world a better place in terms of this body shaming."

Nina Agdal has an empowering message for her over one million female followers

There’s no doubt Agdal is proud of her sought-after figure and the many changes it has endured over the years. Nina, shared another bikini shot that highlighted an empowering message for her female followers.

“I think we all go through phases of feeling great about ourselves, and phases where we tend to look in the mirror and only see our ‘flaws, I have been a size 0 and I’ve been a size 8. I’ve been told I was too skinny, I’ve been told I needed to lose weight,” she wrote.

“And a lot of times, even though ive had some negative comments from people in my industry, this battle has been going on in my own head. I do believe were our own worst critic. Self criticism is just as tough if not tougher than critism from other people. Its an internal battle with yourself, that many women and men deal with.

"I’ve had times in my life, just like some of you reading this, where i wasn’t comfortable in a swimsuit, or even a pair of skinny jeans, because of that muffin top or because i thought my butt was too big.

“I’ve always had a hard time feeling comfortable wearing shirts or dresses that enhances my breast or my shoulders because of what i thought i saw when i looked in that mirror. I thought my breasts were “too much” and i wanted to hide my “athletic shoulders."

"We all have our insecurities and thats okay. What is important is that we dont turn it into an illusion that we are not good enough, and that we address it.

All these “flaws” are perfect because thats what makes you you. If we all looked the same it would be a pretty boring place to be living in. I am finally in a place where i can look myself in the mirror, smile and say “you look great”. I’ve come to this place by realizing whats important and whats not. And by practicing self love and self care.”

Danish model Agdal was discovered while on a street in her home town. Having no modeling experience, she entered the Elite Model Look competition.

She did not win, but did then sign with Elite Models Copenhagen and continued school until she was 18. After graduation, she moved to the United States, after which her modeling career blossomed.

She has modeled for Billabong, Victoria's Secret, Adore Me, Bebe Stores and Calzedonia.
