Supermodel Paulina Porizkova is reminding everyone to enjoy their lives and seize the day. Porizkova shared some thought-provoking and inspiring quotes from Kerry Egan, along with a video of her dancing on the beach in a red bathing suit. "If only I had known, I would have danced more… So, dance. And taste and smell and feel. And love the body, your body, that makes it all possible," she captioned the post.

Porizkova starts the day with tea or coffee, waiting as long as possible to break her fast. "Drinking tea is a great way to stay hydrated and can help to break up the monotony of just drinking water," says registered dietician Tyler Florek, who notes that people who drink tea are less likely to have heart disease or diabetes. "It is unclear if it's the compounds in tea that cause lower risk or that tea drinkers tend to have healthier lifestyles overall," he says.

Porizkova practices intermittent fasting, allowing herself a window of eight hours for meals. "You don't eat for 16 hours and then you eat for eight," she says. "I generally take it as I eat whatever I want for eight hours because I like food, but I also kind of tend to like more healthy food… If I need a fried chicken, then I'll eat a fried chicken. It's just the way it is."

Porizkova breaks her fast with smoothies or vegan soups. "No soft drinks, ever," she says. "No juices. If your fruit and veggies do not contain fiber (as in juices) it's basically sugar water. Intermittent fasting is not for everyone, people with certain illnesses or conditions who need to keep their sugar balance steady will not profit- but otherwise- for now science has agreed on fasting."

Porizkova loves riding her bike, especially while exploring new places on vacation. "It's been shown that cycling reduces anxiety and depression," says Jaclyn Kubiak, PT, DPT. "Mainly, because you can make it fun. You get the added benefit of being outdoors or you can go do it with friends. You can change the intensity for it yourself," he adds. "It can be as easy as you want or as hard and enduring as you want."

Porizkova has a personal trainer to help get her in the best—and strongest—shape. "Staying in shape after menopause takes a lot of frickin' work. Especially when you have wonky hips," she says. "I've had to cut down on my Pilates since I came back for the jungle shooting #beyondtheedge because my hips won't cooperate. What I'm doing instead, for now, is some serious PT. I found an amazing personal trainer at my local Crunch, Shelly, who alternates hip PT with strength training. But because I've been doing so much traveling, my results are inconsistent. So, yes, there are drawbacks to aging. One has to work a lot harder on things that were taken for granted. On the outside. On the inside, however, all the hard work already done is finally paying off. I may not be as strong or as supple or as smooth as in my youth, but I am comfortable with my vulnerabilities, conscious of my weaknesses, proud of my strengths – and best of all, have the wisdom to put it all together and delight in the results."

The former America’s Next Top Model judge, 57, shared a photo of herself in a colorful bikini. She used the pic to share some "food for thought" in her caption.

"Athletes versus models. Both start their careers very young," she wrote. "Both make large amounts of money based on their physicality - in direct proportion to the demand - for their service. Both need to keep themselves in prime physical shape. Both jobs are physically and sometimes emotionally painful. Both careers end when most others just come into their best. Paulina Porizkova has long spoken about ageism in the modeling industry and beyond. In an interview, she recalled going out in Las Vegas with her then-husband, late Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, and feeling like she was invisible for the very first time. She said she blamed the lack of attention — which was new for her — on being recognized for the first time as an older woman.

"We were staying at one of the big hotels," she explained, "and we were going out for the night, and I got really done up: tight black dress, plunging neckline, red lips, really high heels. Because ‘Old’ is ‘Ugly’. I get comments like these every time I post a photo of my body. This is the ageist shaming that sets my teeth on edge. Older men are distinguished, older women are ugly.”

Paulina posted her thoughts alongside photos of both the comments, and a jaw-dropping photo in a white bikini that showed off her flawless physique. The troll’s comments accused the world-famous print and runway model of “falling from grace.” “You must be in so much pain to keep posting bikini pictures at your age,” they wrote. “I’ve always thought that getting old and ugly is hardest on the pretty people. The fall from grace is so much farther when you were beautiful.”

The cover girl‘s perfect response continued, saying that the critics in her comments section “do not understand beauty.” “People who believe prettiness equals beauty do not understand beauty,” she added. “Pretty is easy on the eyes, partly because it’s a little bland, inoffensive. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum opened up about her daily diet in a new video, revealing that she is a fan of the 16:8 intermittent fasting plan beloved by Jennifer Aniston and Kourtney Kardashian.

'I do the 16:8 diet, which just means basically that you don't eat for 16 hours and then you eat for eight,' Porizkova, 54, explained. 'I generally take it as I eat whatever I want for eight hours because I like food, but I also kind of tend to like more healthy food.'

However, she noted that she listens to her body and isn't one to ignore a craving, saying: 'If I need a fried chicken, then I need a fried chicken. It's just the way it is.'

'It's actually really easy,' she insisted. 'I did get hungry at first when I first started doing this diet. I'd kind of obsess about food, but then it sort of evens out. Now, I don't even think about it. In fact, I'm not at all hungry until 16 hours later when I do get hungry.'

Porizkova likes to break her fast with a vegan smoothie which offers a mix of smoothies, soups, grain bowls, and wellness shots.

“I do not want to fight myself everyday for the rest of my life,” she wrote. “But I do want to make the best of what I was given. And I want to shine a bright light in the dark corners of the shame that is heaped on women for daring to age.”

Porizkova also shouted out a number of other women who are all about “accepting their aging and making it beautiful” including Andie MacDowell, Maria Shriver and celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff.

The Czech beauty previously opened up about her candid social media snaps, telling us, “The more I posted the reality and the real me, the more people responded to it.”

Added Porizkova, “I think we’ve made enormous strides in accepting all different sorts of beauty; I think size and color and all of these things that used to be so uniform now have broadened to a pretty spectacular [degree] … But age, ageism, that’s kind of like the last frontier.”

The fashion icon, who went viral earlier this year after posing “full-frontal nude” for the cover of Vogue Czechoslovakia, also told us that while she has never used Botox or fillers, she’s not opposed to a little help from lasers and other noninvasive beauty treatments.

But she also knows better than to expect miracles.

“Look, cosmetics and skin treatments are not going to do plastic surgery on you,” she explained. “It’s not like you’re going to use them and you’re going to look 20 years younger. It’s not only not realistic, but it’s impossible.”

Once a model, always a model definitely rings true for Paulina Porizkova

She showed off her sculpted abs and entire toned bod while relaxing poolside and exploring the beach. In the snap, the model poses at her "friend’s incredible villas," in the Hermosa Hills.

"I have come here to heal repeatedly," Paulina wrote. "I don’t know what it is about being here, but my anxiety drops to nearly undetectable, and I feel like I get to pause all the stress of life. The minute I leave, it all comes rushing in again, but aaah, I can live for those moments of peace. I’m so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to come here. And for good friends who give me a hand when I need it."

Paulina has long been vocal about the way society discusses aging and her own fitness evolution one bikini photo and nearly-naked pic at a time. Even though staying active is a big part of Paulina’s life now, she told that she used to rely on “cigarettes and poor nutrition” when she was younger and working as a supermodel.

Paulina Porizkova latest throwback snap was taken on Little Corn island in Nicaragua

Paulina Porizkova isn't letting lockdown stop her from remembering the blissfully happy times she enjoyed just a few weeks ago while on a beach vacation in Nicaragua.

The 55-year-old supermodel shared another candid image from the vacation, posting a stunning image of herself running out of the ocean while modeling a tiny gold bikini.

In the Baywatch-esque snap, Paulina is seen showing off her toned figure in the skimpy swimwear, while looking over at something in the distance, with the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star captioning the photo: 'Running ahead but looking over your shoulder.'

Paulina added that she has been looking back on images from her sun-filled vacation while quarantining upstate in order to 'remember the joy' she felt during her trip.

'Back to Little Corn, where for a week I could set everything aside and just enjoy. And I did,' she wrote.

'When you look at photos of yourself in good times - do you well up with those good feelings? Or do you get wistful? Or - bitter?

'All of that and more is true for me. But today I chose to just remember the joy.'

Paulina Porizkova is now 55 and is a good example that age is only a number

The Czech-born model took to Instagram on Thursday to commemorate her first birthday since the death of her estranged husband Ric Ocasek in September 2019 and shared a stunning throwback picture of herself in a bikini from a recent trip to South America.

“Less than two months ago, the world was still a familiar place. And I was basking in its best incarnation, here in Costa Rica,” she began in the caption of the golden hour photo of herself among nature donning a flashy gold bikini.

Porizkova said she is “endlessly grateful” for the outpouring of “gifts life has bestowed on me thus far” and while there have “been many,” she said she’s looking forward to sifting “through them all” while under coronavirus quarantine.

The author and actress, who was cut out of her estranged husband Ric Ocasek's will before his death, previously hinted on social media that the trip may have been a gift from close friends.

“Imagine, after going through an emotional hell -- to land here,” she wrote. “Being surrounded by saltwater the temperature of your mother womb, the sounds of monkeys chattering in trees, the scent of damp green leaves and night blooming jasmine, sipping a Negroni while the sun sets over the ocean on the horizon.

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova, shared a stunning bikini picture from a Costa Rican vacation 

The 54-year-old Czech stunner posed for the snap at the top of a waterfall, wearing just a tiny black bikini.

Looking incredibly fit and toned, Paulina showed off her incredible figure while admitting the trip was a much-needed break after months of mourning for her estranged husband, Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, who died in September.

In the photo, Paulina posed like the pro that she is, holding one arm above her head and shifting her weight to one side as she flaunted her incredible figure.

'And at the end of the dusty road is this — a beautiful waterfall,' she wrote. 'And you cool down and wash the dust off. And then get back on the ATV for some more adventures and dirt.'

Paulina said that she much in need of a vacation, and it appears to be the first one she has taken since traveling to New Orleans in August.

At the time, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model also posed a couple of photos of herself enjoying the pool in bikinis.

Now, though, her trip is fulfilling a different need, not just for relaxation, but for healing.

Paulina Porizkova is all about self-love in 2020

The 54-year-old supermodel posted a makeup-free selfie on Thursday and referred to as out “narcissism” and why the affect of social media will be harmful.

“Who wants to see ‘real’ people on social media? No, we want aspirational. We want tips and secrets and shortcuts to how best present ourselves in the most glowing light. We want people to envy us, to copy us, to buy what we sell them, whether it’s our words, our brands, torture or magic,” Porizkova wrote.

“This is what I really look like. Not a great photo, early in the morning, no [makeup] no filters, just the real true me. I’ll be turning 55 soon. At first glance, I think — ew. I look so old,” she continued.

Porizkova’s estranged husband Ric Ocasek died in September and she addressed her grief within the post, as properly.

“Grief is definitely no magnificence maker. My eyelids are beginning to droop. The jowly bits subsequent to my mouth don’t solely make me look older but in addition someway bitter. The grey in my hair is a straightforward repair, though, actually, I’d love to only develop it out and cease coloring,” she wrote.

But the previous Sports Illustrated cowl mannequin says she is engaged on her psychological well being and vanity.

Legendary supermodel Paulina Porizkova posted a photo showing her toned figure

Believe it or not, but some folks have been giving legendary supermodels like Heidi Klum and Cindy Crawford a hard time for showing off their bikinis on social media.

Fortunately, the age-shaming trolls haven’t stopped fellow catwalker Paulina Porizkova from living her best bikini life or her fans from showering the 54-year-old beauty with praise.

the Czech-born model posted a photo that shows her wearing a lime green bikini, her toned figure on full display as she poses poolside in New Orleans.

Porzkova spent time in the Big Easy to write over the summer, but clearly found time to soak up the sun.

It’s no surprise that Porikzova is still rocking the bikini. After all, as a young model she graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue two years in a row, in 1984 and 1985. Dare we say she’s got a shot at 2020?

58-years-old Jodi Harrison-Bauer wants to become the oldest woman to appear in Sports Illustrated

The 58-years-old Connecticut gym owner and mother of two adult daughters now wants her place among modeling elite by becoming the oldest woman to appear in Sports Illustrated’s storied swimsuit issue.

“Whether I’m chosen or not, I’m doing this as another way to share who I am and encourage others along the way that it’s not too late to try something new,” Harrison-Bauer told the newspaper. “I’m 58, and I’ve never felt so confident in myself.”

A determined Harrison-Bauer who runs Jodifit, a boutique fitness studio in Branford took that self-assured approach earlier this week to Miami, where she’ll attend a casting call at the W South Beach hotel Friday in hopes of outshining dozens of other models, many of whom will be decades younger than herself.

“I saw there were no specific age categories,” she told the newspaper. “That was my loophole to go for it.”

The two-time World Fitness America and World Fitness Universe champion credits 10 hours a week of resistance training, weightlifting and cardio for her toned figure as she approaches her 60s. Taking a page from her workout philosophy, Harrison-Bauer wants women to “break out of the box society loves to put us in,” she said.

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova turned heads in the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue when she appeared inside at age 54 the oldest to date. Tyra Banks the first African American to grace the special edition’s cover in 1996 became its oldest cover girl at age 45 in May.
